ian stuart-hamilton Report post Posted March 24, 2009 Why did the fireman have a spiderman outfit ready waiting???? Part of this particular fireman's job is to visit local schools to give classes on fire safety and apparently he often goes along dressed up as a cartoon character to liven things up. He thus had the costume to hand. I agree, this is a wonderful story.

cmuir Report post Posted March 25, 2009 (edited) Hi It's heartwarming to see the lengths (be it small or big) that some individuals will go to in order to help an autistic child. Lovely story! If I were this kid's mother, I'd be worrying about this happening on the kid's first day! Massive worry. Caroline. something_different Report post Posted March 25, 2009 Nice story, but I would worry the boy would try it again, or something similar so spiderman would come rescue him again. its ok spiderman will save me!
CEJesson Report post Posted March 28, 2009 Now this is pleasing and what we should focus on rather than digging up Daily Mail articles that we should expect to be inaccurate and not worth mulling over.
JRson Report post Posted March 30, 2009 Nice thread! We should post more good stories like this one. The world needs more heroes, or Spider-Man.
