smiley Report post Posted October 23, 2005 Today, M has had a cousins birthday party. The party was at a local ski center - sliding down the slopes in one of those doughnut rings. M is terrified of heights - not brave - gets unsettled by crowds of people/children.... He was fantastic!! It took a full 20 minutes of chatting and reasuring him to get him up the slope, and another 20 minutes to get him to sit on the doughnut...he went down sitting on his aunties lap. He got to the bottom - anounced to me 'i did it' with a huge grin on his face. I asked if he wanted another go............'no thanks ' I am so, so proud of him for having a try, it's a huge thing for him and us.

smiley Report post Posted October 23, 2005 Thanks Tylers-Mum, i'm still grinning! I think it's shown how far we've come. I now have a better understanding of Aspergers and my son, - the better understanding comes mostly from you lot. Thanks
