fiorelli Report post Posted November 17, 2005 Louis has a list of questions he needs to answer (bearing in mind he has AS and ADHD) How do you think you are getting on in your present school? What are you best at in school? What do you find the hardest in school? Why do you find this difficult? Where do you feel you are making most progress? What helps you do well here? How do you get on with adults in school? How do you get on with other children? What would help you to do even better in school? What do you enjoy doing after school and at the weekends? What would you most like to achieve in the next year or two? Do you have any other comments? Now, some of those questions I know he would answer with one word answer's (if the questions are posed to him as he would understand... e.g. How do you get on with adults in school - answer, Fine Do you have any other comments? answer, yes or no (depending on how question is posed) Now as you can probably guess, Louis wouldn't be able to understand half of these questions, never mind answer them! so what do I do? Where it goes on about school, should he answer as if it is asking about the EOTAS unit?
barefoot wend Report post Posted November 17, 2005 Fiorelli If I'm not mistaken your son is about 7/8 years old. I don't think they can expect him to answer these questions in any meaningful sense. I think I'd let him answer them and then add my own comments as well giving lots of information and examples of how difficult it is. Barefoot
