Bagpuss Report post Posted May 5, 2006 Hi, Just caught on Sky News that Hayley Newbury has passed away. Felt huge lump in my throat. She fought so hard for Avastin (sorry, not sure of spelling), and things were looking postiive for her. I only saw her the other day on News just before she was due for op (they were able to operate because tumours had reduced thanks to drug), and she was hopeful but scared. My heart goes out to her husband, children and family. I think everyone was hopeful that the op would enable her to become cancer free or at least have a strong chance of being around for her young children for many, many years.
