Autistic Pride Day June 18th - any plans?

Not long to go, anyone got any plans?

 

In London at the science museum there is a meet up event, people can go around the museum, and meet up in the lecture theatre.

Then at 1.30pm at Hyde Park (very near) there will be a picnic.

never heard of Autistic pride day? can you tell me about it?

Its a day for anyone on the autism spectrum, and their family and friends, to celebrate, relax, have fun, or whatever they want, and feel that their differences are something to be happy about.

This year's theme is Celebrate Neurodiversity.

 

There are events around the world, most of them are family events, but some are public, like last year's event in Brazil.

The biggest event this year is an Autistic Pride summer camp in Germany.

None near us which is a shame but we will have our own here at home.

Well - I thought I was just gonna do the regular stuff but with Ben and i wearing our (Badge It!) APD badges and home made T's... but having seen the link to the science museum and HP I might well take the boy to see the 'bubble science' show again and take a picnic... Will have to look at the diary!
