  7. Yup, same problem Stabilisers on, stabilisers off, queuing for hours - only to change his mind at the last second (no matter what i say, beg, plead). We had a go at those ski slope doughnut things the other day. He ran (with me following...... ) up and down that flipping slope for an hour - finally getting the courage to have a go in the last five minutes. He hated it! He gets cross coz he can't - i get cross coz he can't make up his mind - he gets cross with me for being cross with him - and around we go!

I was thinking along the same lines as you . I would push for that second opinion from the other camhs team if you can - hopefully they will do their job! Keep plodding along hun <'> Sure you are, but try to keep a detailed record of everything he does and when. Also, if you can (and without him knowing as it'll probably upset him more) try to video him. <'>
  9. Oh, thanks for the link Pearl - had a picnic today with friends, and they were all annoyed they missed it. I really liked the niece and nephew too - and the brother-in-law. Very chilled and accepting of the girls. I felt for the sis-in-law though, she was obviously struggling having the girls living with them. I hope they show a follow up at some point - it would be great to see the girls live independently.

Baldrick, you wouldn't see a subtle plan if it painted itself purple and danced naked on top of a harpsichord, singing "Subtle plans are here again! That one's a favourite of mine. Blackadder :notworthy: Another fav....... 'I only smoke after s*x.....................40 a day'

Enid <'> >< Very, very worrying behaviour. Sorry, i don't know what to suggest. But i think I'd be banging very hard on the door of CAMHS. Your camhs any good? Something needs to be done before he hurts himself, or you, seriously.
  14. Sorry hun - but that really made me laugh!
  15. Routine & structure. Give him a choice of a couple of things that you know he'll love (or decide yourself if you know he wont be able to do it) - then stick 'em on a visual timetable (that could easily be a scrap of paper, i use small bits of paper - hole punched - held together by a key ring, etc) - so he has some structure to his day. I sometimes buy a special new toy (bionicle & spiderwick book today! ) at the end of term, and then stick 'em on the VT first. Lil monkey gets like that - especially at the end of term. Once he's 'trained' back into the home rules and routine, he chills. 'Bored' in monkey language normally means - i don't know / i don't know how to say what's wrong. <'>

Yay! Well done that lad - and well done that mum for helping him achieve it. <'>
  18. What is it with Limos?? Not a leaving party - worse! - two horrid, spiteful wee girls in m's class had a huuuge 'Ball' for their joint birthday party. Parents were well know for being very snobby, the invites were vairy posh! They demanded full-on prom dresses and suits. Again with the Limo's to collect everyone.................... Invited children were expected to pay! M, and three other children (all special needs............. need i say more........) were not invited. All of M's year and the majority of the year above were... They were celebrating their seventh birthday... Beggars belief.......... I invited the left behind lads to our house for munches and silliness - we ate chips with dips, drank fizzy, and played on the Eye Toy - it was hysterical!
  19. Pearl & JP That's heartbreaking - thank goodness he wasn't hurt <'>
