  4. I'm still waiting to find out what these "advantages in the the scientific and technical fields" are in my case. Maybe I was misdiagnosed.
  5. The Complete Fairy Tales and Stories of Hans Andersen, translated by Erik Haugaard
  6. So they do hold auditions? I guess I'd better prepare a soliloquy.
  7. So far the only contact I've had with the production team has been by email.
  8. Telemann, Suite in D TWV.55:D18. He didn't just write for recorders(!) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eVHRq1pnk4s
  9. What Should I Do With My Life? The true story of people who answered the ultimate question by Po Bronson
  10. I have exchanged several emails with Emma and her colleague Simon, which has resulted in this message received today: I still haven't actually spoken to either of the producers - all they know about me is what I told them in my original email ("I saw your posting on the ASD UK forum and would like to get involved. I have Asperger syndrome and have struggled to find and/or retain work.")
  11. Take this for instance: How to make your employees love you from day one
  12. The Big Breach: From top secret to maximum security by Richard Tomlinson (former M16 agent)
  13. And yet you're encouraging them to accept lifts from people off the internet?!
  14. I haven't got a friend to bring. Plus ça change.
  15. I've been scanning some documents into PDFs. The first few went OK, but when I attempted a longer document I got a message around the fifteenth page that "This product is warming up". This was followed by a warning that the job had been interrupted, and I was given a choice to discard, edit or save the job so far - adding more pages to the job wasn't an option. So I had to save the document as two installments, MyDocument_pp01-15.pdf and MyDocument_pp16-23.pdf. AFAIK there is no option in Windows to collate pdfs. A quick search indicates I'm not the first Epson customer to experience this problem. How to locate source of scanner interruption NB: my scanner is an XP-225. (Are all Epson scanners named after multiples of 15?)
  16. I visited The Crystal (a new visitor attraction in London's docklands containing a exhibition about urban sustainability) and went for a ride on the Emirates Air Line cable car.
  17. Thanks for expressing sympathy. Unfortunately the usual reaction I get to describing my situation to people (including, regrettably, my boyfriend) is something along the lines of: "That's just the way of the world, you always lose touch with friends if you move away". But I know of any number of people who've managed to keep in touch with friends who've moved far further away. Ironically these are often people who claim to be rubbish at keeping in touch with friends, yet they still manage it.
