  1. I did blame myself at first, and then everyone was blaming me and dh but on our first meeting with CAMHS they said it was not our fault so felt heaps better, but I do still getthe odd person who says DD is spoilt etc........ thing is I have 3 children all as spoilt as eachother and the others are not like her I dont think spoiling them with clothes matters to a 5 yr old, she is not spoilt with toys and if anything she was spoilt with my attention because I was trying so hard to help her through her tantrums! I think the teachers think I am a bit crazy! They see the nice side of DD so as yet she is not a problem to them You dont need people like that around you hun <'> Caroline x
  2. Ok Maisie has never been dry through the day (she is 5) but pooing was ok from the age of 3, only now she has started again she has pooed her pants at school about 4 times since September I can see the teachers are getting annoyed with it now (don't blame them one bit, I am getting annoyed too) i have warned her she will have to go to school in nappies, she stinks etc etc but nothing like that bothers her Just a bit concerned that it has started again, and even more worried that the other kids at school will start to say she smells. At our last meeting with the phycologist she just said Kids with AS quite often don't worry about things like that! Ok guys any ideas on how to get that it is dirty to sink in??? She is going to the incontance (sp) clinic on wednesday but was refered for the wetting so now got to say neither is right and I really am not sure that there is anything wrong down there, I think it is just maisie likes it. Don't ask me why though lol.
  3. LOL Maisie is a licker too, she licks the TV and windows lol. She comments on toilets being smelly too but not really a sniffer lol.
  4. My DD points in peoples faces and says things about them, not so much shouting out but will say things in their face in front of parents which can be tricky. She will point (nearly touching their face) and say they are a baby or that is the naughty one! She doesnt seem to get whispering or that it's rude.
  5. I am new to AS so not as clued up as many of you, but working on it lol. My daughter has not had the MMR but reached milestones later than average, had bowel problems and was always ill with infections etc, but at the age of 5 it has become apparrent that she has learning difficulties and AS "traits" I just don't know I have mixed views about it all.
  6. Pauline you sum up how I feel totally!! Maisie is 5, I get thouse looks too, and her latest thing is soiling her pants, so she stinks. I know the teachers are getting annnoyed with it now, I know how they feel I am at my wits end with it too. Not sure why this new one has started but hoping that it passes soon, the wetting has yet to pass she has not been dry ever. Chamhs say is maybe a sensory issue but not sure!
  7. <'> back to you all, and thank you. Guess today is just one of those days. I know you all go through the same problems, just feel bad that I am finding it hard to deal with. Hoping that ds will calm down abit as she gets older. Thanks for your support, I hear other parents moan about their kids and feel like saying you haven't got a clue lol.
  8. I love my DD to bits but day in day out is such a struggle with her. She plays up about going to school, then plays up about coming home She screams she is hungry but argues when it is dinner time. she wants to go to her friends party but then has a meltdown for an hour about going every normal day to day thing is like this. Everyday is like walking on glass the whole house is scared to upset her which I just find unhealthy!! I find myself struggling with the other children and being ratty because dd has zapped all my energy everyday. Over the weekend she went to her nans for the night so I could have a break but even that is not worth the hassle she comes back worse than before and I end up shouting with in 1/2 hour of her being home! I feel guilty for being a ###### mum, I am guilty of resenting her at times, I am always moaning at the other kids because I am stressed out Today I have taken her to school and just come home and cried!! How can I love a child so much and feel so much anger towards her too! Yesterday I bought her some new clothes thinking she would maybe be pleased after school, but no she had a huge meltdown over it then in the evening decided to try on jeans, didn't like them and peed in them!!!! I should never of had kids, i beat myself up knowuing this is not dds fault but still bite to her rages and find it soooo hard to switch off! You all seem to be so lovely with your kids sometimes I read your posts and just wish I could be like you all.
  9. We have 3 girls too lol oh and 2 female cats! my husband is saying hee is out numbered lol. Only 1 teenager atm but we don't smell like hamsters we are chocking on bodyspray and perfume lol.
  10. Hi all, just been reading through your posts and thought I would add that CAMHS have said my daughter has AS traits and is overly sociable so think it must depend on who sees your child to be honest. I also asked about PDD and was told that it is not used as dx in england????? Mainly in Australia and USA. Maisie had scored mild on an online PDD test so mentioned it at a meeting. Maisie has friends at school, but not certain friends of that makes sense? she floats around with everyone lol. This all confusses me to be honest, but her daddy came out of a meeting and said he thought he had AS lol and to be honest I think I would agree lol.
  11. Great news about the job! If you paid by paypal for the camera you could try a claim back through them??
  12. Awwww bless him. It is awful. Maisie seems not to realise that kids are being horrible yet, so just sort of tags along. I find myself doing the infectious rocking too lol. And her birthday party was very low key which was lucky because she decided 10 mins before she wasnt going tried to explain you usually go to your own party lol.....but in the end used the think of all your presents line lol. she did go in the end lol.
  13. Maisie always gets "at" and "out" mixed up so when I give her the stare, the one that most kids realise they will be in trouble if they carry on , Maisie says wot you looking out! Also during a melt down oneday she said I will throw you out the door, under my breath I mumbled you wont have to I will walk! To which she replied I will throw you out then push you in again so you have to listen to me all your life!! I did have to hide my smile lol. She also says pins and noodles lol. So sweet when they are little.
  14. wow that was quick! We have to wait 6 months gggrrr. But we are lucky and not having any problems at school so far, apart from not being dry. Glad you got your results and the statment you need.
  15. Still waiting on dx but suspected AS she is my middle of 3 girls. Different Father to the eldest and same as my youngest who although only 7 months is concerned if I leave her and crawling already so hoping these are good signs as other dd was late meeting milestones.
