That is great Tally Hoping to make it next year, couldn't this year
  2. I know a few people with ASD that have been refused CBT recently.
  3. My dad just came on facebook to tell me that his fiancee/my step-mum (weird saying that as she is only a few years older than me) has been in a car crash and had to be cut out of the car. She is in hospital and still waiting on news as to how she is. Any prayers, positive thoughts would be greatly appreciated. She is the mother to my 2 youngest half siblings who are only 4 and 5. I hope she pulls through ok.
  4. I used to do the same particularly during times of high stress/change. I remember clearly as a child continually eating and never feeling full, always feeling hungry. It got worse during the summer holidays where boredom, lack of routine and change came into play. It got to the point where my mum would buy a limited amount of treats and once they were gone, they were gone that I started stealing them from shops too Definitely not saying that is right mind.
  5. Has nobody bothered to put a complaint in writing? They will pretty much ignore it unless it is official and in writing They are expected to provide a minimum standard of living and I'm pretty sure that includes that all appliances/repairs are done, so even if you do have to fend for yourself at least they work.
  6. I did my online test as part of my coursework for the RDA module and got 70%, which is a first!
  7. I'm not sure about the ins and outs of the legalities, but they are at least responsible for making sure that everything works! How is everyone else coping?
  8. Yeah I got it as well. Looks like they have sent it out to everyone
  9. There is already a bid to stop this from going ahead - Katey Hoey leads commons bid to reverse DLA cut
  10. It keeps coming up with the error, sorry your page doesn't exist

    Aint it warm!

Was so hot last night barely slept, was just stuck to the sheet Have to use the heavy duvet otherwise I can't sleep, but it does mean the overeheating is way worse.
  12. Well this is where the political spin comes in like the top not earning more than 20x the bottom if you look at the numbers of people involved it is very little. If it had been 10x it would have been more effective. I personally would have preferred it if the top public sector people can earn no more than the PM, that would drag quite a few into line. Why should a council exec earn more than the PM of the country, it makes no sense.
  13. If the tories had their way they would ditch DLA altogether
  14. Thanks. If you look at the rhetoric the way they describe DLA it sounds as if they are getting it confused with IB/IS/ESA, it has never been an out of work benefit. They are purposely misleading the general public so that there won't be much of a fight.
  15. See I disagree with you there. While I despise the bankers and the mess they caused they aren't entirely to blame for the black hole in the finances. For one we took on wars that we couldn't affort, we're committing to replacing a cold war nuclear weapons deterrent that is never going to actually be used, ID cards the list goes on. We're paying far too much to quangos, top rate execs in the public sector earn far too much. Seriously there is a lot of waste out there a lot of it being at the top. Oh and if they went after the MPs who fiddled their expenses as hard as they do benefits fraud a lot of parliament would be in prison now
  16. For the first year since I started at uni I actually managed to pass all my exams first try! So I only have resit coursework to do this summer which I was expecting anyway I feel so clever right now
  17. I don't really like the phone and it makes me rather anxious. I prefer text or email, mostly I let it go through to the voicemail.
  18. Got the washing up and livingroom tidied, doesn't sound much but when you are constantly in pain and fatigued anything is a positive
  19. I get really nervous about witheld numbers but a lot of important places use them (hospital, university etc) so I unfortunately have to answer them otherwise I miss out on appointments.
  20. Tbh I do worry what will come of DLA it is the only benefit that we can claim. We're not entitled to any of the means tested benefits because apparently having 15k a year after tax is a lot of money. I'm worried that once I finish uni if I don't find a job straight away we are going to be financially screwed, my loan and DLA are keeping us afloat just about. Due to the screwy way that the benefits system works I wouldn't get any help as all the help is targeted to those on the unemployed benefits (that I'm not entitled to), I'm not sure if I would be able to apply for ESA because my wife works too many hours/I've not made enough contributions/we get too much money pick your choice. I sometimes feel that as a young couple we are punished because we haven't had any children, and trust me coming from my family that is a rare thing. We are a heck of a lot worse of being together than apart, and I know of a lot of others in a similar position where 1 works and 1 can't or is having difficulty getting work and hitting a brick wall. I have family members who fit the doleite scrounger profile to the T, one cousin said to me that she will have as many kids as possible so that she never has to work in her life. It really irks me when I hear members of my own family saying things like that, that their aspirations are that low and several generations are sitting around doing nothing and no government has done anything about it. How about the government take on people like that instead of attacking the one benefit that helps us?! Ok, I'm going to stop now as I'm winding myself up
