Frangipani Report post Posted July 8, 2008 We are all smitten by this at the moment: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=-3OSoBFzhLI Gorgeous song, strange vid. Karen x I loved the vid, they call that creative arts. Amazing where artists get their inspiration and ideas. I love this song, but its one of those songs that when you hear it, it gets stuck in your head. The girls were singing this in the car on the way home, hair brush singing, sometimes I wonder are they 16 - 19 or 6 -9 when they are together singing in the car. But of course I just listened. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=SJdVnOOL1p8 I think the girls did an excellent job.

Frangipani Report post Posted July 13, 2008 My kids behave really strange when they hear this song, because, it seems to have an affect on them Do you find that - some songs just send your kids off into some strange tangent. This one always makes me laugh as I see my kids doing this weird dance or in the car I cant ever remember being like this

Also, I got married a couple of months ago and the track we played when signing the register was one called Gorecki by Manchester band Lamb - a beutiful song, makes me cry everytime I hear it Vicky Lamb have spilt up though haven't they? I ate one of the legs last Sunday! Seriously, I only have 1 lamb CD (between darkness and wonder) but they did make some wonderful noises... I spotted a Best Of recently and then forgot to buy it - thanks for the reminder Fall - Have mixed feelings (sorry mr Peel!) but I did post a link to 'Telephone thing' in a similar thread Congrats on the wedding My current fave album - The Gutter Twins. Also eagerly awaiting the new primal scream (obviously) and spiritualized songs in A & E... And then sometimes you just want happy fluff like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9A_ZPQHYKgM SV - check out The Aliens if you decided you did like Beta band, and if you decided the pennies you spent on the verve were worth it, I saw they've got a new album out recently! something vague Report post Posted July 19, 2008 Oh BD you've reminded me of that lovely Wallace Collection song Daydream I would love a copy of that for my ipod! I didnt get any further with checking out the Beta Band but will eventually. The Verve that you recommended was lovely and hippy trippy I'll keep an eye out for the Aliens. However....when I went to Manchester a friend took me to a cool cheap record store there and picked out 14 albums that he knows I'll love so I got quite a lot of music to digest just now. At present I'm obsessing over Patti Smith. I knew some of her stuff but wow, she's 100% consistant SV
Frangipani Report post Posted July 25, 2008 (edited) Does anyone like this oldie I heard the other day, everytime I hear it, it always stops me in my tracks. Trance of a different sort don't be rude. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=umw1-Do3-ho Desperado by The Eagles. Now everyone is in holiday mode we might get some more songs SV No matter how often I hear this song I can never get sick of it. Just the music alone without the words reminds me of Summer and days at the beach. While its winter here in Aussie and getting colder snow in parts of Sydney, global warming.
