Hi, Thanks, yes I'm making some. We also have an extra person for tea so I will want to make a good impression. Lots of them, lemon, sugar, chocolate and other goodies. Your welcome to gatecrash. I like mine with lemon and sugar too. Angel.

    pancake day

Hi all, Is it tomorrow? Angel.
  5. Would not let me log in or accept my password. but today its logged in on its own. edit; dreadful spelling. !
  6. Of course thats what I want to do, but this head teacher is sly and vindictive. I have since found out that he hit my son over the head with something last year and his art teacher told him to speak to the goveners. She is no longer there. My son did not even tell me. I don't have any other school placement options for my son, he has a dual diagnosis. He would not cope with home education. The last time I put a letter (not even a complaint) in about him being bullied the head had to speak to the school goveners. I know this because he specifically pointed it out the very next time my son had a negative behaviour and he got the first ( and only) exclusion he had ever had in the school. I'll see what today brings, thanks for listening to me moan. Angel.
  7. Good luck with it all. It sounds like you really get on well with him. Angel.
  8. thats what I feel like doing but then when I weigh up the options I think it will be worse for my son if I do. I've talked to my son and he knows that I'm going to tell the head teacher I don't like what he has done but I do need to get things right for my son and sort it out from there. I didn't want my son thinking it was ok for him to do that. Angel.
  9. Hi, My son (14) is in a special school, he had an issue this after noon and was out of school. He was ringing the bell and being ignored (he didn't want to go in, just get his property) then the head teacher came to the door and "shoved him out". The head teacher openly admits this but says my son will say he punched him. My son says " he was shoved really hard which winded him" but now the head teacher is saying my son would usually be excluded but he will work with him, and have him out of lessons. My son had done really well up until this issue. We had another previous issue last week, which the head teacher did something inappropriate but personal to my situation. argh
  10. Well done. Congratulations.
  11. I've thought of home ed but don't think that would suit my son either. Its as soon as we find a good school for him the head teacher retires and it goes to pot. This has happend twice now. I will have to find somewhere else now as they just say "we are not helping him" instead of what can we do?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are not open to suggestions and only give me the negative of what he's doing. The head has been asking me to put him somewhere else now for 6 months but I refused. Advising me of which school to look at! Angel.
  12. It's looking like I'm going to have to find a different school for him. They are just not helping and engaging in confrontation rather than supporting his need. Angel.
  13. I don't think he'll ever get over it. From year 7 when I wanted a place at this special school he was the acting head and refused. The head teacher was working at a different school and set to return for year 7. So I visited, with the statutory assessment manager, him at the temporary school. A - to look at what that school had to offer B - hassle him for a place at this school. Well I got a place for him in the school I felt best for my son and it was perfect for 2 years. 2 years bliss of no school problems and then the head teacher retired. The promoted head teacher then changed my sons form several times and wondered why he acted up. He also says he does not have autism. We have this relation ship where I kick his butt too, so he doesn't like that. The last time they had to have "Whole school training" so he loves me. He now has to have more specialist autism support in for my son. He still doesn't want my son in his school as its a special school, but a small ebd school. My son is ok if they treat him properly and would find a change difficult and not fit in the autism provision type places as he has ADHD too. Rant over thanks for listening. Angel.
  14. OMG I just did the quiz I'm Cilla Battersby !!! With a Richard Hillman coming close. !!!!!! In my dreams I'm Angelina Jolie. http://www.gotoquiz.com/which_coronation_s...aracter_are_you I've posted the link for anyone else. Angel.
  15. Hi, http://www.connexions-direct.com/index.cfm...detailedArticle I hope it works, I just tried the link and it worked for me so this may not solve your problem. If not try and copy the address to your search bar. I think when I wanted to find out my sons connexions advisor I phoned the school and asked for the name and telephone number of the connexions advisor. I spoke to them and requested their attendence at my sons review. Since this they have been supportive in finding a work experience placement and are looking at college placements. They came to my house and discussed with me what I wanted for my son, without him present, and attended his review. My other son in mainstream school his advisor sent me a letter and introduced herself before seeing my son. Good luck.
  16. I am pasting a link which may be useful which has other links. http://www.connexions-direct.com/index.cfm...detailedArticle Can you speak to the connexions advisor who is linked to your sons school? They may have a better idea. Angel.
  17. Hi motherinneed. We had the opposite problem!! My son has just done his 2 week work experience placement and the school wanted to support him at work with full time support. My son wanted to work alone and I requested that he had the opportunity to go it alone. He did and fully enjoyed the expeirence and was quite often not able to be returned at the correct time so they brought him home when finished. He did have a taxi from his school to work placement though so please do enquire about transport posibilities. I would request a meeting at school with your connexions advisor. I would also recommend a parental supporter from parents partnership they will also advise and attend meetings with you. Good luck. Angel.
  18. Hi Stella, One of my sons has this medication. What I found useful was the stratterra nurse, do you have one? She telephoned me regularly and gave out mobile number incase of emergency also she liased with doctors if he needed an increase. The difference with this medication is that his personality is more apparent and I haven't heard him laugh so much since before he went on the ritalin which he had prior to strattera. Good luck. Angel.
  19. Don't do it hev........................... Go get an apple, think slim. Go girl. Angel
