  1. You mean a High AQ then Mihalea. Or are u referring to learning difficulties such as dyslexia because there not hte same thing
  2. So i just found out the doctor has been talking about fibromyalgia, the last time i went to see my doctor about my physical health was during the doctors surgery walk in clinic as an emergency as a lot is going on she told me that my anxiety is making my physical health worse so i was put on naproxen, omeprazole and amitriptyline for a few weeks. It came by few days ago i had to have an annual health check up by the doctor as people with learning disabilities have to have them yearly to find out that they wanted to discuss about my physical and emotional health. First of all during her seeing that im quite bendy because of my hypermobility syndrome, and her pressing on my tendon points and feeling my stomach she then after talked my blood pressure which was normal but said the last doctor has been mentioning fibromyalgia now i was thinking does she mean that she been speaking to the other doctors about it or was she saying it subtlely at me? So she has decided as i have had a positive response over the amitriptyline for my mood in evening and slept well on it that she is going to let me continue with it at night and will review me in 5 weeks. But that same day i went to do some baking with the people i am supporting and they could see how much pain it was causing me to manage that - all the stiring etc to point i needed frequent sit downs, but was becoming faint and all that. It was to point where yesterday i had a complete fibro flare and im still stuck in bed. How does anyone manage to eat during there fibro flares? I can get ready to eat cooked cold chicken and have salad or prawns or whatever that does not use the use of a cooker but sometimes u just get so stuck in the bed but have to get out of bed for the loo but when u need to do washing up its taking alot of effort to manage and do a simply thing Also she agreed to come of gluten totally no test is showing coeliac disease but probably have a gluten sensitivity but seeing gastro is good idea too because they can figure out what could be going on.

  4. Hi, i was through this years ago for me from transferring from IS/IB to ESA. I would like to say though they dont go by diagnoses they go by how it affects there day to day lives. I had to send a letter with my doctor how my disability impacted my daily live
  5. i have many conditions, including autism im not high functioning end, but no i would not want to cure myself. I would not be who i am today and i have great many talents and abilities taking away autism is taking away a person. all these labels dont say who we are, but we identify. they are not a personality triat but they are a part of who i am and i do not want to change that as i am great at many things.
  6. I dont know your age, but Itv FIXERS can help with things like this if your age between 13-25 years old
  7. I got sent to special school because I was not progressing in mainstream
  8. Well we where different Sally. My parents were identified my issues and what I needed to help me by providers
  9. Doesn't sound right because I know the process of how they work
  10. There has never been an audition for these. they contact u if your interested and suit the requirements and make a documentary out of the fund the BBC gave them to cover also travel and they also decide whether they have enough funding for an extra person in the documentary. I always check out the production before i make a decision to see if they are legit
  11. My mum yes, but my ex father no he did not want to accept i have learning disabilities and then my autism diagnosis either. Although i was getting kicked out of a mainstream school because the staff could not handle my academic and emotional behaviour. So my mum took me to a paeditrician who assessed that a special school for people with moderate learning disabilities would be more appropriate we had a look around and they found it was appropriate and i achieved things at the school than being in a mainstream school i would not been able to of if i was not at this school.
  12. Depression is a chemical imbalance in the brain, its horrible to experience as it creeps back at you and i know i had it creep back at me. I try my hardest but not push myself to hard that will be difficult just in small gradule steps like trying to get to know my social worker first (coffee) before i feel able and comfortable with her in my flat. She understands this
  13. arguments can be a communication difficulty not able to express what mean so get frustrated and has a uncontrollable meltdown. I also relate to the dog, i had a best friend he was the one could help me communicate i dont know how but i am talking more because of him. He is grieving for his friend.
  14. I think you should see your doctor about this. I get tingly feelings they took an b12 test but came back clear i think because i had started taking a multivitamin with b12 in. things can come into other factors i was surprised . I been quite fatigue and have muscle tight in myself to but i partial dislocate because of my hypermobility syndrome and i have arthritis. The doctor can send u off for blood tests to see whats going on
  15. My meds arent working because 1 im glutened daily i have to keep at it for now the gastroenterlolgist, 2 physically unwell but now depressionn is being set of quite bad so alls want to do is sleep, cry. Tonight i went very agitated and hyper.
  16. have u noticed any other symptoms with muscle tightness ?
  17. Hi Jeanne, Yes it does make me stay in bed. at the moment i have physical health issues not only do i have hypermobility syndrome i have arthritis and chronically fatigue. But yes when i am suffering with my depression it makes me very tearful, lack motivation, do nothing and im on antidepressant with a beta blocker that is not working because i am being tested for coeliac disease so having to eat gluten which is making me very unwell.
  18. I have personal experience basically what he is doing is down to depression thats what i been doing a lot recently although i go a little bit but all that is down to my depression
  19. I don't have sad, I have depression/PTSD issues but I find it extremely difficult in the winter. Because the change in routine of shops/service support closed, but not only that but my arthritis is affected badly so makes me feel even more down, the busier everywhere is the noiser including fireworks going off
  20. soraya is not being rejected. If nick wants to be on his own, let him because he feels comftable if its disturb it will only just distress nick. just thought it would help coming from another autistic
  21. kat your questions I still find it overwhelming Christmas. We like doing our own thing and finding decorations and socialising can be too much for me so I relate totally to nick just let him do what he wants then he will be hapy otherwise it will stress them out. A lot of us have sensory issues and I do especially the decorations but with the food he may want to eat what he likes to eat so try that as a new food can be difficult for us.
  22. I am like this all the time around Christmas. its not that I do not want to communicate I just find it difficult, and the Christmas time I do not know why but it feels more stressful at Christmas I think it is because people have a set view on how you need to communicate with someone, not only that but I find the decorations to much to cope with that would send me into sensory overloads. I also find that Christmas is more busier than any other time of the year. I am 24 years old and being on my own is not so stressful. Actually when I had to stay for Christmas at familys I would need my Me time because I find it stressful I need to calm down in my room doing whatever I want to do
