Hi, Thanks for your help today home tutor came and my s on agreed to go to nurture unit for an hour on thursday although he didnt want to but did it for my sake then a woman from social services disabilities came phoned and said educational pyscologist from meeting yesterday said she should come and see us.......so tomorrrow morning shes coming .......they dont do parent partnersip here i got in touch with snap their a charity run for people like us and give help and support unfortuneatly the man who is suppose to help is not available and dont know what has happened to him....time will tell for that one....this is wales with the worst education report so that doesnt help .........theyve to get their act together this year or else ......i have been in touch with education chief through my welsh assessmbly mp so waiting to hear from her.....it depends where you live what help you get i thin ill have tpo move......i got in touch with ipsea and the woman there was helpful and said go for the staturtory assessment.....i dont have any friends they all live in scotland.........it all comes down to money..........

Im glad im not the only one who has experienced this....why is it every time i go to meetings i come out un satisified ......angry sad ....it is so disrespectful makes you feel that they only have other things in their minds and your not important.....i have MS and its not helping me with all the worry ........

I have a meeting with child psycharitist who dx him on friday ......when i said to her at meeting is there not any help for his anxieties as we have to address this first before education she said the community mental health nurse who visits us is the person who will help with this but she said he reported back that he was finding it hard to move further with my son and make progress.....she thinks hes a lovely laid back guy but that doesnt help me ... or am i expecting too much.....you are right i am goign round in circles and have to research most things myself which i dont mind snap cymru is one place i have contacted but the man who is suppose to help me hasnt been in touch since i contacted him beofre meeting he didnt turn up maybe hes ill know one knows.....i have applied for staturtory assessment they said letter would arrive in next few days as the 6 week deadline is coming up ....maybe this year will bring soem help ........yes it is due to his anxieties he is not at school......if i dont get any support we will ahve to de register .....

Hi, I had meeting this morning to discuss my son 12 yr old aspergers dx sept 2 .011....home tution since oct 2010 .....nurture unit available ....anxieties prevent him visting it now .........outcome of meeting home tutor to take hime to library or nurtuire unit or his school sen for tution.......he had meltdown when i told him will discuss with tutor tomorrow .....what i wanted to say does anyone have the deflated i had today and every time i go to meetings it was a shambles first the venue was changed 20 mins before then moblie phones were goign off in meeting when i spoke i felt as iff hey were not listening.,.....i was upset after i left cried when i got hiem discussed with son and hubby and were left deflated..........i will ahve to seek more support this year and have been on the phone since dx and emailing ...........does anyone have the same trouble ...........

Hi, I have the problem you said in your line feeding him back to classes of 30 i cant get him to go to nurture unit with 10 max.....i have welsh assembly mp involved chief director of education so hope someone will see sense and give us back our home tutor........lindy

Hi, My sons 12 i took him out of yr 6 last april due to anxietiesand not coping like you said in primary school i deregistered him and home schooled it was difficult in september he went to taster day at comp he hated it had meltdowns but he was registered he didnt attend that school and still ahsnt they supplied home tutor and it was fine after he got used to ehr coming to our home twice a week ... we were offered nurture unit max 10 children he atteneded with hoem tutor a few times but now doesnt im trying to get hoem tution started back as tutors boss ahs withdrawn it wants him to be schooled outside of home but thats not possible so have soem people sorting it out.... then applied for staturity assessment so have to wait and see ,lindy

Hi, I am putting together staturity assessment been looking on differnt sites and the one i used was IPSEA a charity for people like us ....they will tell you the next step ........or the National Autistic society site has info as well....... lindy

Hi, Ok whats confusing me is i ahve one address chief of education where is near to me and one where my hoem tutor is based ....someone in education council said sned it to them....i'll have to make a phoen call to secondary school tomorrow to double check didnt think it would be so ahrd to dfind out an address.........thanks for your help...lindy

Hi, I dont have an answer as i am writing out statority assessment for my 12 year old son hoping to ahve it finished in a few days....it is ahrd to know what to write but i ahve put in as much info as i could my sons got anxieties doesnt go to school has hoem tutor visited a nurture unit a few tiems but too anxious to go there now .....hope someone gives you the answer yu need .....lindy

Hi, I have same problems with my son he could something for ages and then one day if it doesnt loook right or taste the same he says thats disgusting dont want it again.....its so ahrd trying to think up new stuff ....apart from toast and marmite chicken nuggets etc........i feel guilty because we eat normal cook from fresh make my own soups etc ......i have hope my eldest now 33 did the same when he was growing up now he eats healthy and experiments......lindy

Hi, Thanks for that but we live in south wales he got dx in september this year not had a talk yet to CAMHS as the appoitment was too late in the day i might try the book i bought the tony attwood and luke jackson and another ....he attented a welsh medium school dont think it was the best for him ....pressure of learning another language....maybe il have a look at what wales are doing at the welsh assembly.....lindy

Hi, My son stays in his room loved his pc chats to people and plays interective games helps people with IT problems sometimes sleeps in his clothes have to talk him into getting bath or shower.....says the water is sore on his skin he has soem eczema...has anxieties about going out has to be on his terms school is a no no fpr him has home tutor ....he doesnt have any friends ....sees his cousins when thye have a famiy party but gets anxious about that .......has meltdowns ....lindy

Hi, I have a son at home doingapprenticeship hes 22 on last yearnow we take money from him at first i dont think he understood why ....all of my 4 children have traits youngest dx with aspergers coupl e of months ago....must be an aspie thing youll have to explain in detail why .....my eeldest son isvery giving now he is 33 has own IT business due to obsession....he gave me this laptop im now....and maybe because adolescents years last a bit longer he really hasnt thought about why he should.......lindy

Hi,You must be so proud of her ....my husband cycled to portugal from wales raised money for the childrens centre in our local hospital he didnt know at time that he would ahve a son who had to use the centre to get dx of aspergers.......he knows about the hills we live in south wales and you cant go many places without goign up or down a hill .......lindy

Hi, I had to take my son out of primary 6 2 months before term last year it was a welsh medium school we registered him with secondary but iy didnt work out long sstory now have home tutor supllied by school for 5 hours a week we did try nurture unit in another school but hes too anxious to go there....he does get on with tutor she is lovely has the odd few days with meltdowns ....he cannot handle going back to secondary because of what you said too many pupils noise not being able to write for too long he is alot happier now as he used to talk off killing himself etc....he doesnt have a statement they said he didnt need it as he had the nurture unit so i dont know what they will come up with now,,,,,,,hes 12 it sounds like the way they teach in college where the student is responsible for getting on with work after being given the relevant information i might be wrong hope you can find a way keep talking your worries over with them and dont give up i know its exhausting but you'll get there in the end...lindy
