erm..... I am a relative newbie. I am a mother that is not quite teetering on the edge but seriously thinking about th gf/cf diet, for my boy. I do oftern look for the way of least resistance...some people would interpret that as lazy and thats fine with me I certainly wasn't offended or made to feel patronised or any other negative thing reading this thread. Im interested in it. I have grown to love this forum, not just for the feel good fuzziness but the edginess too. I have to agree with taking him in to the Ladies with you. I have worked with children (boys) who have been approached in the mens toilets by ..well you can guess who by. A friend who has a son who wont come into the ladies (meltdown if he has to) takes a whistle into the mens and he knows to blow it if some one talks to him. Most men will not even attempt to talk to a young boy in the toilet. My friend has also been known to go in to the mens with her son, and I have done this too. No one seems to mind at all! I realise this may seem extreme but when you work with children who have been approached/ and a hell of a lot worse in the mens it seems like the safest option. Sorry to rant redberry

How very dare you madam! How very dare you!! All of the things I have done, believe me have been done at a very leisurely pace over the past twenty years!! The college course in relatively new. I am half way through it. I had to find something I could do where I chose my hours to work around S my AS son. He has had a lot of time off school due to ill health (stress triggered). I did NNEB. nursery officer. Ran private saturday school catch up classes. Nanny ran private nursery. Youth worker. Erm.... taught sex education classes. Worked in Family Centre teaching parenting classes and arts crafts, story telling, cookery classes.... now Im at college training to be massage therapist, chinese massage, holistic, on site, deeep tissue you name it! And a diploma in anatomy and physiology, business studies and profesional conduct. Other than that nowt really! Very interesting reading everyone elses bits and bobs!! redberry
