I'd hate to be my neighbours! I dont shout all the time but when i do... Tyler shouts all the time! I do however feel like i nag constantly 24/7 but i know if i didnt things would be even worse withing the household!

My son has AS and about 2 years ago he tried to tie a curtain wire around his neck and was pulling at it but then laughed and removed it, he then threatened to jump out of the bedroom window.. til i said i would do it instead..that put a stop to that!! Well now last night he was being awful and was told off numerous times, he ran off and said he was gonna drown himself! he filled the bathroom sink up and held his head under the water .. of course he pulled it out when he couldnt breath any longer came down stairs dripping wet and said oh well i may have to just run away!! How do you deal with these situations?? It breaks my heart Clare x

Another one her too, soaks the bed right through every night with his sweat! If he goes into the garden to play football for 2 minutes he comes in dripping in sweat..not good when his personal cleaning is non-existant

Tyler tried Ritalin and straterra, with no effect at all, he had a QB test to check the effectiveness of the pills and it showed that indeed they had no effect to his behaviour. He is now just taking Risperdone to try and help with his constant anxieties . Just thought id show you another outcome of treating a child with Adhd and AS Clare x

My son has ADHD and AS and h has tried stimulants and non stimulants for the ADHD but nothing worked for him. So he is just on Risperdal to try and help with his anxieties ect but we just have to cope with it all really, and its very hard at times!! Goodluck to you in getting help and support Clare x

Yeah my son is the same, and he takes eerything literal too and if we tell him a joke we have to explain it over and over so then its not a joke anymore.... bless them Clare x

I just did the child brain one and he scored 138 Moderate PDD The other one he scored 38

My son is currently being assessed by a Ed Psychologist too, so far he has observed him in class, had a meeting with me, took him out of class to do some assessments with him and i had a phone call from the school to say that he will be taking Tyler out of class again next week to do more assessments. We will then get a full report from him. Looking forward to that Tyler doesnt like this man, he noticed him watching him in class and came home very paranoid and wondered who the man was that kept looking at him!! We had to explain who he was so that Tyler would not freak out when he wanted to do some assessments with him. Tyler says he still doesnt like him and the ed psych asked Tyler to remeber the picture that he was showing him because he was going to ask him to draw it later, when it came to it Tyler said i cant do it! The ed psych raised his voice and told him 'well you have to try' hmmm just another reason not to like him again! Ho did your meeting go?? Clare x

My Son is almost 11 and he holds his knife and fork in a odd way too and can not work out how to cut things up even though we have showed him a number of times from a young age! He can get himself dressed but needs to be told to change underwear and dirty clothes as he would happily wear the same clothes for days on end!! He also needs help in choosing the appropiate clothes for the day. Tyler still needs encouragement to wash and brush his teeth and needs to be washed whilst in the bath or at least watched because else he just gets in pours water over himself then gets out again!! Tyler can go to the toilet at night on his own but does sleep walk and have anxiety attacks during the night so we have to sometimes take him to the toilet because he is tooo scared to go alone! He can sleep in a bed fine but is very retless and his covers including his bottom sheet are always on the floor in the morning. Clare x

Tyler is alot worse at home than school!! I was told that it is becaus at home he is in his comfort zone so hence why we get all the bad stuff Good o know that it is a common thing and we are not the only ones!! Clare x
