Funny things I think of.... but really want to know.
Bard replied to Frangipani's topic in Off Topic
Well, due to poor typing skills I did type lucky licky ladies at first, but I noticed it in time. How can pearl bear to save mead until Christmas? I opened a bottle when I came home tonight to celebrate the conclusion of report writing, dad's home and B has nearly almost just about made it to the end of term without a single krakatoa. And his teachers think he's lovely, intelligent and worth educating because he's so interested in everything they have to say. Hic Haec Hoc slump. -

Well, like someone else pointed out, grocery bills are rising and we know he is a man used to the finest and best, so maybe... -

I'd rather have a house with legs, like Baba Yaga. Solve all those Greenwich accommodation problems in a trice. Pogoing North to London, better put a lid on the cauldron. -

I suppose it depends what the next set of measurements you are going to be asked will be! Where's hev when you need her? Come on in Mrs 42 DD, your time is up. * thinks was that not what she meant when she said her jordans?* I'm considering having leg extensions fitted. Reason for edit : used the same verb twice. -
I have made procrastination, and short-sighted tunnel vision into one of the higher philosophies. I may even create a PhD in it for the select few who have the necessary lethargy to cope with the demands of the course.

That's most likely what I will do. I might even be with Soraya, if we can sort out where to meet on the journey from Sussex. Mumble's right you know, things change so often it's better not to worry in advance. Sufficient unto the day and all that.

Sorry Frangipani, the smug bit was a poor joke, but sometimes some of your posts sound like the adverts for the chocolate bar 'Bounty' Does anyone else remember them? 'A taste of Paradise' <'> The weather here is currently cloudy, cool and very windy. The children are wearing jumpers and my sundial experiment is on hold. Do you belong to forums and groups in Sydney, where you could meet and talk to people about things in real life, like we do? Very few of us have met each other, I regard pearl as a great friend, but I've never met her, or oxgirl or several other people who's posts and thoughts I find fascinating. I belong to another forum where I am unlikely to meet the two people I am closest to, and I have no idea whether they are 40 stone Glaswegian truckers or not, and it doesn't bother me. There must be many others on the forum who are comfortable with that level of knowledge, not knowing what we look like, or even which towns we live in. Reason for edit. I can't spell at the moment. -

Or a 40 stone trucker from Glasgow? I don't think so, she's far too descriptive about the fabulous beach, the endless good weather and the stunning views. I think she's real! Reason for edit : misinterpretation of a word meant lightly -
B likes maps and is good at reading them. When he was beginning Y7 last year, we had a timetable and a map of the school. We colour-coded the timetable, then coloured the room on the map the same colour. So History was purple, look for the purple room on the map and then find it in real life. Y7 was rough going, Y8 has been fantastic so far. Good Luck.

All you need now is a heightest remark and it's a hat trick! Bard the Short Grey and Stout. A Viking wannabe.

We could be matching fabulous Easter eggs. The spirit of Faberge lives on!

You could look at the name of this forum. <'> It would be a great idea to help out in schools, I have helpers who hear readers, play number games and phonics-based games, help with fiddly art and craft work like sewing where you need a patient adult. It would give you a taster of what sort of school you would prefer to work in and with what age group.

Hi people. You can use the pm system to swap names and specific details, rather than on the open forum. I'm sure that one of the mods will be along soon to clarify the position on using actual names of establishments and individuals.
-
My first thought was that it will look fabulous on you bid. My second was that with all the comfort eating I've been doing, I would look exactly like a spectacular Easter egg in it.

That's great news for her, and a shorter journey time won't hurt either. If the wind is in the right direction, maybe some of that good luck will come my way!

It was 2.15am when I got phoned to get her. She wouldn't leave the hospital until the promised blood-clot busting drip had been ordered and inserted. Muhammed thought the mountain an immovable object? He never met my mother.

Dad's back in hospital again today, and I'm in the middle of my report writing, but I'm having to run a shuttle service and I feel guilty about wishing my mum could drive, because dad's more important than paperwork but I'm going to be in trouble if I miss a deadline. I have to pick her up about 11.30pm. And you're the only people I can scream at. AAAARRRRGGGGHHH!
