Paula Report post Posted September 18, 2006 The young ######................ He was acting all shifty on the pc our 12 year old son................ So my husband checked the history on the computer only to find that he wasnt playing inocent games but was instead viewing hard core pornography....... The web sites left little to the imagination and to be quiete honest theres no way our son would have been able to type in the required words least not correctly anyway..........Hed accessed these sites via miniclips of all things so be warned......... Ive since put parental blocks on the pc and a time limit and a guardian report...........Bit late i know but i thought theres no way he can acess dodgey stuff but he obviously could............ I told him the parties of no more bikini babes...... minus the bikinis............... In a strange way we kinda thought least its normal behaviour i guess what all teen boys get up to........ Bagpuss Report post Posted September 18, 2006 Same here Paula. Our ds 12 was viewing certain piccies on line. He said they had been pops ups etc. I'd seen one or two and assumed it was dh but then dh found something and checked the history of the computer everytime ds had been on....and we discovered he was regularly looking at these pics. We sat him down and had a long "chat"...he now is only allowed on the computer when we are present in the same room (we've got a laptop). He was so mortified and embarrassed that we'd discovered it bless him. I suppose its normal isn't it......I spoke to lots of friends about it and they said had the internet been around when they'd been that age they'd of probably done the same thing
Paula Report post Posted September 18, 2006 Well our son bless him knew enough to click the piccies of quick smart should me or his dad wander near the pc so he kinda knew its was a bit off..........but he didnt know enough to erase the history.......... I didnt tell him of or anything we kinda made a joke of it ect coz we didnt want him thinking that an interest in the female body was wrong or disgusting because i guess it isnt realy its just yer dont want peoples "bits" splattered all over the pc for general viewing........... He was a little embaressed and said "shut up mum to us" We thought god it could of been worse it could have been men he were viewing.............Specialy after his dabble into female clotheing a while back his cross dressing carry on.Dont ask but involved mine and his sisters underwear........ Luckily that hasnt happened for 4 weeks i managed to direct him into other persuites i wasnt banking on porn though !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yer gotta laugh

KarenT Report post Posted September 19, 2006 Funny story... A friend of mine is a primary teacher of nine year olds. She'd been told to give the class an assignment for maths/IT in which they had to research containers. She primed them that the containers could be anything - storage warehouses, ships, household items etc, then sent them off to Google. After a couple of minutes there was a shriek of "Miss! Miss!" from one boy. He'd obviously got something he shouldn't in his search - sure enough, lots of lady-bumps all over the screen. The boy explained, "I only typed in 'jugs'". Bless. Karen x That cracked me up Another one to be aware of, it's not rude but it's blooming outright dangerous!! my son likes to watch the home made videos about Dr who that kids have made, well he decided to click on some different ones, I heard him in hysterical laughter so went to see what he was looking at, I was sooooo angry to see a kid spinning round in a tumble dryer how *&^(%%% stupid!! my son then started to say 'can I spin in the tumble', I got quite angry and told him he NEVER ever tries that!! and he's never to watch that again!! I also caught him wathcing one where a guy gets his arm ripped off by a crocodile!! Unfortunately he likes the DR who and that's fine, but he really has to be watched like a hawk now, there's no telling what they are going to click on whilst watching something completely innocent! bid Report post Posted September 19, 2006 It's all very bizarre...a while back I 'Dogpiled' for images of Sonic the Hedgehog as I was making a birthday cake to be decorated with S-t-H. Well, up flashed a warning that if I clicked to continue, I would access images of an adult nature!! The mind boggles! Boho

Boho Reminds me of the time I Googled a country pub to check out their lunch menus ... and got details of the car park half a mile up the road that was regularly frequented by doggers. Very interesting, but put me off the idea of lunch altogether. K x

Karen A Report post Posted September 19, 2006 Hi I got a shock of a different nature during the holidays.I left the boys watching a video and went to cook tea.All sounded calm.Returned a few mins later to find Ben viewing a web page titled weapons of mass destruction. It turned out to be harmless-however it took me some mins to recover from visions of police banging the door down. lynyona Report post Posted September 21, 2006 We have this problem with k looking at unsuitable sites, well they wouldnt be for s normal 20 year old,we always know when he s up to no good he either closes the door or turns the computer screen off.We ve passworded the desktop and laptop which seems a bit mean but all the sites also download viruses with them,i didnt turn my laptop off yesterday and i looked at the history and couldnt believe some of the sites he d been on i even looked at one out of curiosity.I dont like keeping him off the computer as he likes to search for game revies etc but only when im in the room he hasnt even been on the new desktop even i dont know the password for it lol
Tally Report post Posted September 21, 2006 My colleague's little boy decided to look for a website like the one his sister visited, called Girl Land. He went to a website called Boy Land, and later told his dad it wasn't very good; it was just lots of naked men hugging each other The first time my husband used the internet he was looking for information about a group making hardcore music, and they were from the Netherlands. He was quite surprised at some of the sites that came up when he searched for "Dutch Hardcore."
smallworld Report post Posted September 22, 2006 we googled for 'party poppers' for our son and got loads of downright dangerous ideas not good ! then we tried 'popping balloons' (another obsession) and got some very strange ideas I never realised that balloons had such a fetishistic (!) propensity 'safe search' doesn't seem to weedle em out either, I have to try and vet all my son sees, at this rate I will end up being tagged 'depraved'
Jill Report post Posted September 22, 2006 The best I ever saw was when a colleague at work was trying to set up a musical & he Googled "Singing in the Rain"

kirstie Report post Posted September 23, 2006 It's so scary isn't it?? (some funny stories too though! ) our pc is in the living room and the language used on the msn between my eldest son and his friends is bad enough but i haven't caught him looking at anything he shouldn't....yet! he did have a stash of a certain mens mag (not hardcore but girly pics in bikinis iykwim) under his pillow! He was very embarressed but i thought i'd make light of it and tell him to ensure they didn't get into his wee brothers hands (but to my dismay Lewis, if in a bad mood with his brother, will say to him "shut up you boob-magazine-reader!" which is excellent really considering he used to call him f****r!!!) I was brought up in a really prudish household and we always felt very shy about our bodies and talking about 'certain subjects' so i didn't want my boys to feel such things are taboo, that they can talk to me about these things as they discover them!! hardcore porn though....phew not looking forward to THAT particular discussion!! Platefull of Love Report post Posted September 23, 2006 My middle lad yelled me in the other day. turns out he had gone to go to his e-mail site Hotmail & a Hot Male site came up. It was certainly not suitable for children viewing . ( it was gay's doing intimate things to each other ). It turns out my youngest had actually mis-spelled it, lucky he hadn't notice the pics, shame my eldest 2 did see them, but I am glad my middle lad had the sence to show me to. I thanked him for being so honest & that he had felt he should tell me, of course as soon as I realsied what the pics were they were straight off, I told them they were not apropriate for children. smallworld Report post Posted September 24, 2006 I did this when trying to log into hotmail, my OH didn't believe my misspelling, I'm usually there as his walking dictionary funny thing is, I've tried it again, just checking for the kid's sake and I now just get an error message, hopefully that's always going to be the case ( we have changed our security software since then) wac
