I go out shopping most w/ends with my mother and leave df at home with both kids. Normally come home to WW3 but he doesn't begrudge me 'me' time he appreciates how hard ds can be at times and realises i need the break. Make sure you go and make sure you have a dam good time, put yourself 1st for a change! You deserve it, just keep telling yourself that. Take care tmf xx
Jill Report post Posted March 16, 2006 Babysitting Well, if that's what he thinks (that it's a service he is providing) then why not present him with a bill for the washing, cleaning, ironing, cooking, chauffeur services, butler, waitressing, childminding......... I could go on and on and on and on. AND that's excluding certain "specialist" services!!! The money you make would certainly pay for you to have a few days out with the girls!!!! jomica Report post Posted March 17, 2006 This is the fairy tale that should have been read to all little girls! Once upon a time, in a land far away, a beautiful, independent, self-assured princess happened upon a frog as she sat, contemplating ecological issues on the shores of an unpolluted pond in a verdant meadow near her castle. The frog hopped into the princess' lap and said: "Elegant Lady, I was once a handsome prince until an evil witch cast a spell upon me. One kiss from you, however, and I will turn back into the dapper, young prince that I am and then, my sweet, we can marry and set up housekeeping in your castle with my mother, where you can prepare my meals, clean my clothes, bear my children, and forever feel grateful and happy doing so." That night, as the princess dined sumptuously on lightly sauteed frog legs seasoned in a white wine and onion cream sauce, she chuckled and thought to herself: "...... I don't (expletive deleted by Jomica) think so." Enjoy your day and don't give it another thought!

Yes Jill i couldn't agree more! Jomica loved the story if i had a daughter i'd read it to her every night! Paula, you're a star!!! you make me laugh out loud every time!! I hate it so much when my partner says things like, "I've done the dishes for YOU" or"I'll have the kids for YOU!" to whichi reply, "Are they ALL MY dishes???" and i believe that it takes two to make a little bouncing bundle of joy!!! GGGRRRRRRRRRR. but i make sure i get that time out i need too, it's so important.
