CarerQuie Report post Posted June 17, 2006 Rh has been going to Cubs for a few months now. This is about the only setting in which he mixes with mainstream children. Against all the odds,he is just about managing and he is being invested in Cubs at 8pm tonight. He's exceeded what I thought he'd managed. Congratulations,Rh and enjoy being a Cub.xx

oracle Report post Posted June 17, 2006 It's a good feeling when they manage to acieve something which for other kids is routine - but for our kids is MASSIVE Oracle
DaisyProudfoot Report post Posted June 19, 2006 That's fantastic news! I used to be a cub leader for many years but had to give it up when the little one came along. Martin has been a beaver, cub and now a scout - they all have. Over the years I've had three autistics, many an ADHD (with and without ritalin), other less defined SEN kids and a girl with cerebal palsy. Seeing them achieve is fabulous and I'm always proud of them. Proud mum moment for you there - hope he continues to enjoy his scouting years
