  2. hi anyone can help me with this my son has no statement but is on school action plus was receiving speech therapy last term ....im still trying to find out if he will receive it this year to cut long storey short senco having meeting tomorrow and trying to say they going drop iep...and have him on something called waves 2 like others in the class.....im really angry about this and worried im going handle it all wrong for start of his new teacher has only seen him for a few weeks ive had report from hospital but still no as dx but admit to some things are similar with autistic problems sensory and processing problems basic do i have any say in this at all. i feel they are treating my son unfair.
  3. i used to be very organised but its slipping away from me fast i now have to write stuff down in lists of what to do
  4. yeah i too was wondering which was the best deal -i picked up both forms -and they still on me table because i was trying work this out [you know what its like brain goes to mush -either that or u nnno min to yourself to sort stuff out ] any sane folk know the answer ??
  5. i too have always had this trouble and more of it to come. my sons are 5 and 4 in nov- 5 year old has sensory probs and processing probs and my 3 and half year old is under hospital for suspected adhd.[he cant stop chattering and whirling about the room like a ball-humming and prancing on your feet ect.......loads more]-its no wonder it sends my 5 year old into a meltdown-my nerves are in tatters alone without having problems cause of the noise ect...... doing stuff seperate i have found is the only way to get your moneys worth -lol---u know what i mean-lol. i know about the feeling guilty but its better than tearing your hair out and screaming in public places-because thats the level i get too when i have them both together.
  6. thought id just let folk know -saw it in tv mag-mentions one child also has adhd and was on medication for it .
  7. oh my god i remeber my sister bought my boy a toy dogger when he was a baby-this became stuck to him permentally and still is today although i weaned him off it alot i had to buy a rook of them from woolworths for fear they would sell out-he must of lost 7 of them over the years. u know what he can tell the difference betwen them all by the smell-amazing.
  8. just thought id say about it hes been 3 times now and already i have noticed a change in his moods-he feels lot happier -he hates pe at school-but this is good because its not very competitive. and they are in small groups. the man who takes it knows alot about children with disabilitys-so i was able to tell him all. its brilliant for help with co -ordination[my son has major probs with that]. good discipline too -i think my son loves it cause its really routine. anyone thinking of it -i would say try it -might suprise you
  9. i too had an accident -whilst reverseing out of a car park space because of my son having a meltdown in the back. was a while back now .

  11. hi basically i remember ages back on the forum somewhere some one posted links of info u could print of and hand in to the school . my son is at mainstream -school action plus -and the hospital are considering statement next sept -hes moving up from reception -to next class this sept. because i have no dx -but am waiting reports from camhs team /autistic lady-and im too take them in school.but they reluctant to give firm dx as they say hes just scored on autistic scale-but admittedhes got major sensory probs and processing probs ect..... i think the school are sweeping me and my son under the carpet -ive been in many times ect....... blah ...blah.......i just come away with the impression they think im making a big deal out of stuff. i even spoke to head teacher yesterday regarding the moving class /teacher-she gave me load of clap trap saying all his stuff -paperwork will be passed on to next teacher ect.... and this thur they are all getting a hour in new classroom to see it ect....... to be honest -my son needs more explaining and help to relise hes moving class . ive had enough problems at home with him regarding ###### supply teachers. guess what she said -the famous all the children will feel like that cause its a big change .and that was it -i left. this woman is a head teacher -are they not educated in autism?? i belive this school is rubbish and considering changing to one i know deals with sen -but ive put it off cause i thought that only would make my son worse -moving school? plus was waiting these assesments -not once have the hospital said they would move him. of course i now know it all boils down to goverment and cash . any way i was just aftwer some paperwork i can take in to the headteacher -cause im not good with words and find written down stuff is better for me at getting point across. she even said well its not our problem if hes doing that at home - self hurting -of course its there problem -cause thats the reason hes doing it -im sure i read somewhere about this -and it was put down in a good way explaining why they r doing it at home cause the stress hes coping with at school----hope u all understand that. anyway any links welcome ect..... thanks all rq

  18. i was in 2 bedroomed private rent-i got a 3 bed roomed private im now in a council 3 bedroomed i have 2 boys -one is 5 other is 3 . i dont know about there being a law but wrote letters saying how it was a danger for them to be sharing a room ect......,help of ss,health visitor and dr. which moved me up the list ect...... i know u need to state all the real negative facts in order to get your point across so dont be shy about telling it like it is ............... im so glad they have seperate rooms -its a god send really-ive no idea how i would cope with them sharing -it just dont work . keep at it <'>

  20. hi everyone not posted for a while -been bogged down with appointments here there-and everywhere-guess u all know the score -lol. well had the results-well sort of they r not saying hes deffo autistic but on the edge -hes deffo got major sensory issues, and processing issues . he scored just on autistic scale-im not quite sure of the proper terms as yet -but they r doing me a report and one for the school. they still vague about dx -but they r fully aware of everything now -and i feel they r on my side ect..... they watched my cam corder stuff. they said hes got very high intelligence and think cause of this hes managing to cope as good as he is in fooling the school. they r going into school in sept when he moves up a class -most likely will do a statement.[hes on school action plus now]. and im starting course in sept to help me and my son cope better /therapy from camhs . just want to say thanks for all help and support i have received on here since i joined cause its helped me so much . regards RQ xxx
