You should make a record of the incidents that are happening to your son, and go to school and complain. -

Well they base your needs on what is on the form and what it says on your DLA then work out what group you entitled too Also ESA- u would have to contribute towards rent if you do that, and DLA is supposed to be used for care and mobility side of things

Is there someone who could help him, even possibly social services. worth looking into to help him communicate
-
Hey Bob, welcome to ASD UK, hope you get what your looking for. SpecialTalent

I know i find communicating hard, but there are times when i get annoyed with a parent who seems to always whinge about heating etc and its getting on my nerves. The contracters are doing everything they can. He isnt the resident he is the parent- he should be taking step back and letting us have our independence. Grr I really have to get this off.

When u send his forms in always send it in with a supporting letter of how his aspergers affects him day to day thats what had to do with me. Also they send these forms out every six months they make sure his needs havent changed but u could ask an autistic organisation to help fill out one, mine did it for me -

FACS- Social Services Eligibility
Special_talent123 replied to Special_talent123's topic in Help and Advice
Thats a bit difficult. I cant have what u just said. I am gluten and lactose intolerance. I sometimes eat those foods when im emotional and make me poorly. But I can cook but its safer for me to use a electric hob than a gas hob. I can cooked. I got special clothes to help me cook. I suppose if i want steak i cook cook in the grill instead. But veg would not be an option. I am accident prone and mum doesnt trust me with gas. -

Special_talent123 replied to phantom sneeze's topic in Help and Advice
I know that people who are life long disabled arent getting a benefit cap. With regards to housing benefit i think it depends on what income u get. I think something like severe preminum on it entitles u to get full housing benefit. But when people under 25 at 2016 there be affected by housing benefit -
