  1. oh god, people can be both ignorant and stupid is that the same thing?. am i both ignorant and stupid, anyhoo!!!! I think most people are sympathetic but cant express that sympathy properly. Its like me with my dad he has colon cancer and last week i phoned to ask him if he felt better!. as soon as id said it i regretted it cos hes having a really hard time, but i guess were all used to the usual phrases to cover our embarassment.
  2. I have an underactive thyroid too but hadnt heard of the link to brain disease. who whould have thought such a little thing could cause so much trouble?. good luck with the research.
  3. ive also got paul mckenna cd which i put on player and listen with headphones on in bed. very soothing. if u want a copy ill make u one

  5. I have an under active thyroid which gp said is normal at the moment but it is on the low side of normal at 0.56 i wish he would up my meds but he wont. I feel like **** at the moment very tired, dizzy and constipated. sure signs. also i am very cold all the time. just what u need with an as child to care for. banging head against brick wall comes to mind.
  6. mm i wasnt too sure of it. I felt too much like a freak show for my liking. Also the man obviously wasnt enjoying it and was just repeating what his father had told him to say to every person he met. It felt uncomfortable for me, even on the bus his father made him tell a man what day he was born on, it was like he was on show all the time. not for me.

Yet every day at 2.30 or so im so tired i cd dropp off, trouble is i have to collect my daughter from school at 3.10 so idarent go!! sometimes valerian helps me, but only for a short time. Believe me ive tried every rememdy going!
  9. <'> sounds great - wish we had a group like that <'>
  10. Its on at the monet on bbc one at 2.40 after doctors. I love it its about a detective with ocd and maybe aspergers not sure. The man who plays the part of Monk is great, getting mannerisms and pet hates to a tee. Try to catch it if you can, my only gripe is that i miss the last 20 mins cos i have to cellect my daughter from school lol <'>
  11. awww all kids say things like that - mine are regualrly going to leave home and live with my eldest daughter lol. It can be hurtful but i try not to take any notice. <'>
  12. Complain right away, we all have good and bad days but she is a professional and her life should stay at home not in the workplace. Poor chap. <'>
  13. Carole, we had this problem when tom was in cubs. It was dealt with though. Can i ask what the leaders are doing when this is happenning?. Can they not see it? I would have a word and then if its not sorted take him out. My son loved cubs but when it came to changing to scouts he didnt want to do it cos as u say they become more competitive, and very agressive. Its seen as boys will be boys behaviour, but our kids cant cope w ith it. As you say so called 'normal' boys can be very nasty but if they are allowed to get away with it things will never change. good luck <'>
  14. wow couldnt use that double toilet, my dh smells rotten lol. tom used to love toilets when he was small, he pulled the handle for ever and then broke the thing lol. He still has to visit the toilet when we go to cinemas etc just to check out the flush lol
  15. wow u can never say that our life is dull can you!
  16. awww congratulations you two, wish i knew someone in my neck of the woods i could have a moan to and vice versa. Maybe one day! <'>
  17. oh hope someone uses it Carole after allyour hard work. Happy birthday Hans!
  18. aw bet she wont. Sounds like my tom and his pal, tom sits there at puter, or p/station whichever takes his fancy and friend sits watching giving advice and bieng told to be quiet you fool. Theyve been friends for 6 years and i cant see it changing. when T goes to his house, J does exactly the same lol. bless
  19. this holiday has been good , tom has found something to amuse him and we have even gone out shopping twicw without too much fuss. He also sat in the restraunt and ate chips while i had toast and a coffee. Yayy
  20. In my case i would say yes i would do it again without hesitation
  21. Tom will come up to me and squeeze the life out of me he never says anything, then he walks away and waves, always gets me. He's taller than me now but id rather have his bear hug than a millions cuddles noone means. <'>
  22. wow this is intolerable what if something had happened and the child couldnt deal with it, would the school be blamed or the child!. My daughter has to do playground duty in the yr 1s playground, i hate it cos if anyone falls over its her responsibility to take the child into first aid - anything could happen and my child would be blamed for not dealing with the situation properly - shes only 10 and too young to take responsiblity for other ppls kids.
  23. ooh will look into that, thanks for this post!
  24. Gawd give us strength! theres no hope is there ?
  25. Im researching the family tree, wish i hadnt actually its a right pain in the rear. anyhoo, i found a census with my great nans name on it and when i read it there was a column at the end which read deaf, imbecile, mute, feeble minded. she had a cross and deaf written there. But, this made me think how many of our children would have been included in that column as ibeciles?. this was not too long ago, makes u shudder dosent it?
