  1. well done, sounds like a fabulous day all round. I love itwhen u get days like that, theyre few and far between in our house, we usually have to arrange to farm tom out to my eldest daughters if we want to go the pantomimes or whatever but hes ok at the cinema as long as we sit on the end of the rwo to allow for his many toilet trips lol.

  5. very, my son plays with my grandsons thomas' all the time, i think it takes him back cos he used to love Thomas when he was young aaaaaawwwwwwww.
  6. ###### me! scuse my french. this woman is a nutter.
  7. lol i think Kathy Burke would play me, shes just about rough enough lmao. Denzil washington cd play my partner, or george clooney with a lot of makeup lol.
  8. aww hope yr son is well soon, Tom has the same hes in bed at the moment.
  9. my daughter is very pretty too, ppl are always commenting on her, but i dont think she could cope with the knockbacks you get. It is such a competitive business, they have to be very strong to cope with it.
  10. Carole, thanks for that. Tom was given a laminated 'identity' card when he started at secondary school, but he has since lost it and hasnt been given a replacement. It narks me that i have to do this but think i will make a replacement myself. I am an NNEB and when i worked at a primary school, and i knew i was going to be caring for a child with special needs i made it my business to read about thier condition and speak to the paernts. It took perhaps a couple of hours in all. Why is this such a problem?. As i said enough information is given out about the top sensitive subject of the month, bullying. We encounter that too, but it is always me who has to sort the ###### thing out. scuse my language but i am fuming at the moment.
  11. oh how sweet, my grandson loves Thomas. will try and get one or two of those. thanks
  12. I liked it and i must say hbc got jackies voice to a tee, sounded just like her. I was a bit uncomfortable with the romance thing though, but otherwise a fair portrayal.
  13. god almighty!!!!!!!!. Tom came home on friday with a letter saying he had detention after school today becuase he hadnt handed in his homework. he was very upset, he said mom i did hand it in. apart from that on his Isp it states that he is not to be given detention for not handing in his homework on time. I phoned the school and his head of year sorted it out for me. what makes me angry is that his teacher should have known a bout this. It seems every year you have to explain things over and over again. Why cant the teachers just read about pupils who have a statement and take notes of these things. This teacher only has tom in his class with a statement - how hard can it be?. I wonder if he was beating up other pupils or causing a disruption in class if he would get more attention and special privaliges. In his school pupils who turn up regularly get special trips - he is not included in these though cos they know he will turn up anyway. what is this world coming to??????????
  14. Rant away honey, sounds like its yr xmas!!! hope youre very happy in your new home, and your hubby likes his new job!
  15. tom does that too, he runs on them aswell
  16. yes i thought ocd rather than as.
  17. Jadensmom my kids are half jamaican too, although tom has brown slightly curly hair and hazel eyes, and ellie has coffee coloured skin gorgeous brown eyes and straight dark brown hair with blonde streaks lol. my neice has corkscrew curls her hair is blonde, she is very pale and has blue eyes. weird eh?
  18. yes i have had that said to me too, my son has beautiful eyes. I think it may be cos most ppl who are considered to be beautiful have expressionless faces. I f you look at models etc their faces are very masklike - caprice is a perfect example. maybe that is it.
  19. wow i would just not give it to her again, but as u say the indgreidient causing this problem may be in other things. what a puzzle! hope u solve it
  20. I would like details of groups, email and phone numbers. perhaps some kind parents who would be willing to speak to others and share their experiences too would be a help. also the numbers of any mediation services to liase with schools etc would bea great help. good luck with it
  21. carole, that sounds just like Tom. Even in the depth of winter he wears only pants to bed he wont put on pyjamas at all. he walks round the house in his pants too even if we have guests, i have to force him to put on thin bottoms when my mom comes lol. i remember when he was small as soon as we entered the front door off came everything except his nappy, he trailed shoes, socks jumpers and trousers along the hall as he went stripping his way to his bedroom. lol mind you the minute i hit the house i take off my shoes and socks cant bear anything on my feet
  22. i know that one well. when my daughter was 4 she was in the nursery nativity i knew something was wrong the moment she stepped out, she was sweating bricks. they got to her line and she turned her back to the audience and said her lines. Of course all the paerents laughed cos they thought it was cute but i could have died for her. I just wanted to grab her and run. poor soul, my eyes are filling with tears just thinking of it. In contrast my son who has AS was allowed to paint the backdrop for his play he felt he had taken part, and then he could just melt into the background afterwards.
  23. he only has smelly breath when he has a sore throat, but he sure has a smelly bum, lol. his wind is awful!
