aw chic!!! <'> <'> i was very upset when i found out that el also has adhd, but tbh it was the best thing cos it answered so many questions about her behaviour, i always thought that she hated me, but she really couldnt control herself, so on the bright side she only hates me sometimes now..... meds is a very personal choice but i am so glad, and so is el, that we tried them for her, it was very trial and error and it does make a difference when they also have autism. i dont think el would be at school now or be able to read if it werent for meds tbh!

oh no that does happen sometimes, i dont blame you for being meds free after your bad experience with ritalin! .....have been luckier with el, she did go on concerta at first but after a while she was depressed, very stressy and not even concentrating........after trying strattera (disaster) she is now on equasym which fingers crossed is so far so good.....mostly! i dont know how i would cope if el wasnt on meds, sending you a big hug chic! <'>

me and el are veggie too! have you thought about asking the gp to have him checked for wheat allergy? as far as i know its not worth getting any tests done unless its done through the hospital. is your son on meds for adhd? they have been the most help with el's behaviour tbh, we eat very healthy as it is. if he is on meds is he having rebound problems? <'>

i know el had big problems with clothes but i wonder if its a combination of the two?

<'> pingu i would have him re-assessed but not for the autism, for co-morbids! it sounds like he is stressed too, hopefully if you can talk to someone about whats going on with k it might be possible to figure out what's triggering his stress....if that makes sense......

oh no what a nightmare! sorry i cant offer any advise, but it just made me think about when el was younger and she would strip off whenever i got her dressed to go out......i wonder if it was cos she really didnt want to go anywhere? she can still be a hermit now.....unless its something she really wants to do..... <'>

our dog who has been having lots of health problems died on tuesday. it was his back that got him in the end, we took him to the vet on saturday and they gave him a big painkiller jab and we had to go back on tuesday if he needed to....so we took him and the vet said there was no choice but to put him to sleep el is really gutted and has slept with me since.... luckily we still have our jack russel, who is like a mini tank so el has latched onto him now......but she has very often said that she loved custard more than me....and meant it too..... so havent been on computer much......

its the news with el too but she loves ybf cos they sometimes have animals on...... i hate things like ybf tho.....

el was great with having a wee on the potty, i showed her (yes i used it first ) but poos....nightmare!!!! wait till they know what they are doing it will save you lots of mess and stress.....dont let anyone make you feel like bad mother of the year over it!
