  1. I work four days a week, have two boys, one is 4 (asd) and goes to nursery 2 1/2 days a week and a one year old. Hubby runs his own business so can work his hours round mine although he does tend to work while he has Jamie, collecting stock etc as Jamie will happily sit in the van on long journeys. Find it very stressful, lots going on at the moment with trying to sort out Julian's education changing the company to a Ltd Company, buying a house, falling out with the in-laws, and to top it of someone has just told me it is Christmas in two and a half weeks (joking have done all my shopping and wrapping up and just waiting for the fallout!!) Oh well That is my lot in life! Supersec
  2. My boys are both beautiful - my baby (Jamie aged 1) is on the books of baby model agency! My eldest has the biggest blue eyes and the longest thickest black eyelashes and when he smiles he is absolutely gorgeous! I am a very lucky mummy! Supersec
  3. Just heard a news flash that Castlepoint (a huge shopping Centre in Bournemouth) has closed due to problems with the car park - apparently it has been declared unfit! Hope all you dorset girls and boys have done your shopping! Chaos will rule in Bournemouth for now! Supersec

  8. Hi I too rang them feeling like a bit of a plonker and told then that obviously JJ did not have a national insurance number as he was only 3 at the time They said to ignore it - does beg the question as to why the form asks for it when it is for children under 16! If you need any help filling it in then let me know! Caroline xxxx

  12. Have just had my four year old run in front of a car. I am at work and coming back from work I saw a little group of children walking up the path and there is my little one with his one to one carer out for a walk from nursery. Saw me and ran straight across the road in to the path of a car which fortunately was only doing about ten miles an hour and stopped whilst both myself and his carer shouted at him to stop. Luckily he is okay but I think my nerves are shot to pieces. Can't blame his carer she had hold of him and he just yanked and ran before she could have the chance to stop him. Think she papped her pants tho. Oh the joys of children. Am back at work and he is now back at nursery and will collect at usual time. Feel like cack tho Caroline
  13. That is fantastic news! Glad to see that they do sometimes do the right thing - even if it is just beginning with saying yes for the statutory assessment (may it long continue for you!) Yeehaw!!!!!
  14. Lauren All I can send to you both at the moment is <'> <'> <'> <'> Having not got that far with DS i can offer no practical advice other than I think that those so called "experts" talk a load of old tosh too. Sorry I know that that is not much help. Keep smiling and love to you both Carolinexxx
  15. hi Mali and welcome to the forum! keep smiling . Best place in the world here. I only know that it took nine months for Julian to be diagnosed but I think it depends on where you live. Sorry if that is not much help. Supersec
  16. Thank you all for your responses. I have been in touch with IPSEA and am writing a letter to the LEA asking them to do a statutory assessment and see what happens from there, said to give them six weeks and then to go to tribunal if not got any response. Thanks again to all of you! It is a start! Supersec
  17. Very upset and very very very angry The LEA phoned me yesterday to tell me that Julian will not be statemented after all. Apparently he is not "autistic enough". Argghhhhhhh How Autistic is Autistic? Am going to phone them again today and am speaking with his Paediatrician (sp?) and am going to have a very big rant. Any one got any good ideas of how I go about sorting this out without actually committing murder and doing time? Caroline

  20. Hi Can highly recommend CentreParcs, went beginning of this year and going again at the beginning of next. Can be expensive depending on when you go but we go in January when it is relatively cheap and have a laugh. Julian enjoys the pool and we make the most of the evenings to eat and have a few beers (we go with friends who Julian has known since birth and are very good with him and very very understanding). Sorry to hear about your horrid accident - bet that was a bit ouch to say the least - but good to know you are on the mend lots of <'> Supersec
