Oh, it sounds as though J has fall on his feet having these new 'friends'. Will they be going to the same school as him after the summer? Friendship is such a difficult concept to get right - mine tend to take offense at the slightest thing or feel that 'their' friend is just theirsand no one elses IYKWIM. Louise

Managed to cut back the bramble so that the back gate now opens ....... this is the gate we use none stop. I think someone has given the bramble some 'miracle-gro' because it is going mad at the moment. Louise

I think the Princess Royal Trust for Carers sometimes run groups for young carars not sure about for siblings. Louise

My YS who was 8 in March will be going to his new school in August -so he can be in an Autistic Base - it is about 18 miles away and taxi will take about 1/2 hr each way Louise

I expect I'll be going - it'll depend on what else I'm suppose to be doing (Madam's gymnastics don't restart until the 18th) AND whether there is space in the mini-bus. See what is happening closer to the time. Louise

I must admit it is adifficult situation but it is one that your ds may not have had to experience if other parents had complained. Sounds as though there is a culture of silence there. There was a residential unit in the newspapers a couple of months back which had to be shut down because so many members of staff were abusing the children and because the children has 'issues' if a child complsained it was 'not true' and apparently the situation went on for years. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/6751345.stm I'm not saying the situation is as bad as that but..... if a single child can be prevented from going through this it would be worth complaining. Oh dear there is no help for me . Do you think the stairs at Elcho Castle ( http://www.undiscoveredscotland.co.uk/pert...stle/index.html ) will help scare them away - perhapes the Casle has a ghosy, you never know..... or will that make those calories cling on even tighter? YS is supposed to be going to Elcho Castle on August 11th with the Young Archeologist Club and I'm not sure whether I'm suppose to be going or not. Louise

I'll give them 48 hours for the form to arrive and them they will be phoned again .... if the worse comes to the worse I will drive to the LEA office in Perth and filling the form there and then. They won't like me is I put my 'angry' head on. I promise to stay polite .... maybe sartistic (? sp) but polite.

Trouble is that until Education Transport have him(YS) on their books no taxi will be allocated to him. This is the same Education Transport who also book the school buses to and from school as well as transport for things like swimming etc. Louise
