baddad Report post Posted April 16, 2008 (edited) Awssuzzeffa *hic* zaffafabarxaraffaluvyeridoseperraaraamybessmateyer.... seriously Der Guinness for beer der whisky for spirits (but whisky gives me heartburn these days) red wine mostly but white when it's right and fer christmas the occassional glass of tawny port. Having said that, i'll have a crack at anything within reason, except household cleaning products, mouthrinse (although a handy substitute in cocktails if you run out of creme de menthe) and white rum... The latter provided my first ever hangover - you know, the one you get when you blagg your way in to the local dive at sixteen and because you've put loads of coke in it fail to realise that it has any alcohol content at all... I was sick for three days and got drunk again every time I had a glass of water... swore off alcohol for ever ... Tea/coffee/water/and would love to find sugar free cream soda, dandelion and burdock etc... a certain chemists does a 'ginger infused' carbonated water that really scrapes your pipes clean Edited April 16, 2008 by baddad

smiley Report post Posted April 16, 2008 I have finally figured out, at the ripe ol' age of ** that i can't do alcohol. I am wobbly after one small glass, and plastered after two! I seriously don't need the encouragement to do stoopid things, and bounce off the ceiling - i manage that just fine without the alcohol The only thing that doesn't make me pee'd as a flea after two sips, is Baileys - but that's normally 'coz it's in coffee or hot choc! I love a glass of red though - and will have it if i know i'm not needed for anything involving my brain the next day... Quite like Archers n coke too - but just the one, coz it's so sickly sweet. I have coffee to calm down (ask NikkiSmith, she feeds 'em to me through a drip if she wants me to stop bouncing about! ) - very odd me.........

Kathryn Report post Posted April 16, 2008 In common with many teenagers in my part of the world, I started my drinking career on Ouzo and coke - yes really. Now I prefer the fruit of the vine (white) . And champagne too, but I don't often have that! K x
kellyanne Report post Posted April 17, 2008 Mine is wine Rose is prefered at home or round a friends house, but if I'm out drinking then I generally go for white wine and lemonade have a couple of glases of that then move onto to something else what ever takes my fancy at the time
forbsay Report post Posted April 17, 2008 Depending on my mood, it is usually wine. However, I really like a nice gin and tonic - lots of ice, slice of lime and served in a long glass.

Bard Report post Posted April 24, 2008 You start at the left-hand side of the range of optics at the bar, and order your first shot... and then you see how far you can get before you fall over, or are escorted from the premises. baddad Report post Posted April 26, 2008 Hev - try melting a chocolate orange and a box of after eights in a cup, you'll probably be able to cure yourself of the minty orangey chocolatey drink habit... This is based on my groundbreaking 'aversion therapy' research... after feeding Ben several pigs ears, tails, nostril linings and - hem hem - 'sweetbreads' i totally cured him of his addction to sausages For some reason it doesn't work with alcohol though(?) You DO wake up swearing, 'never again', but somehow it doesn't seem to "take"...
