SensitiveSoul Report post Posted September 2, 2012 Did anyone ever watch this programme?? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sCUAER7odSY Most annoying programme ever! Annoying theme, annoying presenter, annoying contestants - if you watch their intro videos you can tell they're so set up! Hated this programme with a passion! robertmannma Report post Posted September 3, 2012 I actually owe Grange Hill for my Asperger's diagnosis. My sister saw a character on the show who was portrayed as having it and immediately recognised the traits as being the same seen within myself. It was quite a task to actually get the diagnosis officially but without that show I'm not sure it would have even got picked up on at all.
LancsLad Report post Posted September 3, 2012 I can just about remeber this from Grange Hill Maybe not the best record ever made but suspect the intetions were well placed, if not too effective. Can't remeber seeing a massive reduction in drug use following its release.
robertmannma Report post Posted September 3, 2012 Does anyone remember this show: 26) Byker Grove Ant and Dec have come a long way since appearing in this.
SensitiveSoul Report post Posted September 3, 2012 Robert, I posted Byker Grove in the same post as I posed Grange Hill

robertmannma Report post Posted September 3, 2012 Sorry about that SensitiveSoul. The video for Byker Grove didn't show up the last time I looked over this thread. It is showing up now though.
robertmannma Report post Posted September 7, 2012 (edited) In a year that has seen the release of the third Men in Black film does anyone remember this? 27) Men in Black Edited September 7, 2012 by robertmannma

robertmannma Report post Posted September 7, 2012 How about these: 28) Animaniacs 29) Pinky and The Brain
Mannify Report post Posted September 7, 2012 Lol, I watch Pinky and the Brain with my kids even now! But then I like a lot of kids' stuff. It's cheerier and often of a higher standard than stuff for adults. I shouldn't mention reality TV, but really, you know? I also like My Goldfish is Evil. Ever seen that?
robertmannma Report post Posted September 9, 2012 Yeah, reality TV is pretty rubbish isn't it. I do remember My Goldfish Is Evil. And on that note: 30) My Goldfish Is Evil
darkshine Report post Posted September 9, 2012 Wasn't there something else with goldfish, where they were magic or something?
robertmannma Report post Posted September 14, 2012 I don't recall any other shows featuring goldfish but there's a lot of shows I can't remember. I recently recalled some other shows from when I was younger. Does anyone remember these? 31) Reboot - Computer graphics have come a long way since this show was made. 32) Ocean Odyssey - which was apparently called Ocean Girl in America
robertmannma Report post Posted September 14, 2012 Here's a couple more that I just remembered about: 33) Animorphs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c-2vEFWFlgE 34) Aquila http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2BTLvbGNwWk
Mannify Report post Posted September 14, 2012 I must admit I'm not really recognising these. We must be in different timeframes, I think. I'm 35.
robertmannma Report post Posted September 14, 2012 Yeah. A lot of the stuff I remember is from the 90s.
robertmannma Report post Posted September 14, 2012 This was a really weird show my childhood: 35) Mud - I could only find the closing credits for this one but I think the theme is the same. http://www.youtube.com/watch?gl=GB&hl=en-GB&v=emGhz2g327o Apparently, it starred a young Russell Brand. robertmannma Report post Posted September 18, 2012 Here's another show I remember from my childhood. It's so little known that I had difficulty finding videos of it. This is the best I was able to find: 36) The Boot Street Band
robertmannma Report post Posted September 24, 2012 Wow, this thread has really gone dead. I thought I would try steering it in a different direction, perhaps by moving away from the children's TV show themes. I thought I would post the themes to one of my all time favourite television shows, one that ran for five years and had a different theme for each of them. That show is Babylon 5. Firstly, the theme for the first season of the show: And here is the theme for the second season:
robertmannma Report post Posted September 24, 2012 Continuing with the Babylon 5 themes: The theme for the third season: And the fourth:
robertmannma Report post Posted September 24, 2012 Finishing off the Babylon 5 themes: The theme for the fifth and final season: And also the theme for the spin-off series Crusade:
Mannify Report post Posted September 24, 2012 I must admit I was more of a Star Trek girl. Star Trek in its various incarnations was the highlight of our week for ages (although we never quite got into Deep Space Nine). I'm not sure which was my favourite theme music of the various series, though. I liked the footage of Neil Armstrong on the Enterprise one, I liked the meteor belt on the Voyager one, and I liked Patrick Stewart's monologue on the Next Generation.
robertmannma Report post Posted September 24, 2012 I am a pretty big Star Trek fan as well although I came to it a lot later and I would say that Deep Space Nine was probably my favourite of the lot. At the risk of being a big controversial I think the original series and The Next Generation were my least favourite incarnations. I much preferred Voyager and I was also particularly into Enterprise, particularly during its latter two seasons. As for the themes rather than the shows as a whole I would probably say that my favourite was Voyager, followed by Deep Space Nine then Enterprise followed by The Next Generation and finally the original series. robertmannma Report post Posted September 24, 2012 Following on from my previous comments: The theme for Star Trek: The theme for Star Trek: The Next Generation:
Mannify Report post Posted September 24, 2012 See, I find it hard not to be loyal to The Next Generation because it's the one my husband and I would watch together religiously when we first got married. I think, overall, Voyager was my favourite series, but it's very hard to choose between Voyager and Next Generation. Do you have an all-time favourite character ( a bit off-topic here )? robertmannma Report post Posted September 24, 2012 Now, the theme for Star Trek: Deep Space Nine: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5wddIjNw_W4 And the theme for Star Trek: Voyager: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7HNtfu_QurU
Mannify Report post Posted September 24, 2012 Having watched your clips, I'm going to have to say that the Next Generation theme music was my favourite. But Voyager comes in at second.
robertmannma Report post Posted September 24, 2012 And finally the two different versions of theme for Enterprise: Firstly, the theme for seasons 1 and 2: Secondly, the theme for seasons 3 and 4:
robertmannma Report post Posted September 24, 2012 I'm not sure if I could pick just one favourite character. There's so many to choose from.
Mannify Report post Posted September 24, 2012 Thanks for these, Robert. Very nostalgic

Mannify Report post Posted September 24, 2012 Ok, it is hard to choose
robertmannma Report post Posted September 25, 2012 In no particular order, my shortlist: Spock, Jean-Luc Picard, Data, Q, Odo, Garak, Tuvok, Tom Paris, B'Elanna Torres, Jonathan Archer and Dr Phlox.
Mannify Report post Posted September 25, 2012 I forgot about Q! Yes, he was always fun to watch
robertmannma Report post Posted September 25, 2012 Did you ever watch any of these? Stargate SG-1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K41iLYVCBeg Stargate Atlantis There's not much point posting anything for Stargate Universe as it's one of those shows that doesn't have a proper theme tune or opening credits sequence, rather they just throw the name up and that's about it.
