>:D<<'> To you both

I've had one of those days aswell, always Fridays isn't it. Loads to do, not enough time, everything that can go wrong does. Arguements between me and my partner due to his lack of support, tbh can't see us lasting long, one of those days.

Oh dear - although posting on 'Saddos' in an appearance of joy a frivolity - me too very sad - arguing with mum, son and sister who do not seem to realise that I am driven to fighting the system because I can not come to terms with what has been dished out to my son by him upstairs. My mum, bless, keeps telling me - "but he is very intellegent and your sister is amazed at how clever he is" and why do you have to fight for everyone else!

But as I have always said - there is no point in having high IQ if youn can not cope with the world. He has been brilliant but he is worrying about something at the mo - not sure if it is power cuts we had caused by a fire not more than 100 yds from our house.

Sorry - don't know why I came up here and shared that :crying:

Hi all sorry i havn't been on much but 4got 2 pay bill LOL too much other stuff 2 worry bout.

Liam (9) was at the occupational therapist on Thurs and had him doing all sorts of things that i wouldn't normally see him do as he would rather avoid doing things than fail and it was hard to see him not being able to do things like throw a ball at the wall and catch it (i think he caught it twice out of about a dozen or so) this was also observed with other balance/co-ordination games eg. hopping and stopping at the last square, throwing a beanbag in2 a tray (again he got it about 2 or 3 times out of 12) I think she knew he was getting frustrated so she kept letting him have more goes.

She also said that whenever he asked him 2 do things with 1 hand/leg his opposite arm/leg would do the same.

She says he has significant delay in motor skills and co-ordination and has something about 2 much force (breaks things without realising his strength and hits 2 hard without meaning to) :tearful:

She also foned up the DSS (or whatever) and got us forms for children with dissabilities (for under 16) and 2 apply for carers but the form is unbelievable!!! still havn't finished it

We ended up there a good few hrs and i found it difficult 2 watch, of course afterwards it was back to the grindstone and had to act as if everything was normal. :robot:

He will be 10 in march and now i wish he had been dx earlier and wish i had done something sooner.

Feeling really low and working so hard that i feel my head and my heart is just not in it and i want to be woth my son but i suppose the other thing is work keeps me from thinking about him 24/7 and stops me going off my head.

Anyway thanx for my rant LOL

Take care

luv

Tomorrow will be a better day but the fact is that tomorrow never comes,... without being today

Today is cold, big daughter is upset :tearful: the consultant on FRiday told her she has to stay on medication for another year and probably will need an operation after that anyway, H has decided he does not want to go to school on Monday because of the writing exercise with the SENCO and PE first thing in the morning  , and Thursday because of swimming, the Man of the house got a lumbago and the cat has broken his special key-board, and I feel my brain all muddled up and no way to wake it up.........................

BUT A LEAST I KNOW THAT I AM NOT ALONE.

THANKS TO ALL OF YOU.

Hi All,

We have that meeting with the Disabilities Co-ordinator and a counsellor, to see if they can come up with something that will help my son stay at college. He was doing I.T. this year, but his anxiety gets the better of him, and he just ccalls me after an hour to come and pick him up saying he doesn't feel well, he is fine when he gets home.

Remember I mentioned how the other Disabilites co-ordinator ignored our calls after promising to assist my son should any problem occur.

I hope this isn't just another one of those merry go rounds I have been on in the past four years.

The exhausting thing about this is more paperwork, constantly keeping my sons reports on hand and in order for review. More stress for my son. I wish I could spend time with them alone to give them a clearer picture of how the past 3 years have spiralled after that MMR injection he had.

Wish me luck I see them on Monday morning at 10am. Its my sons last chance, so hard keeping him on track and motivated. I keep telling myself to be positive, only to be reduced to tears on many occasions feeling I am fighting an uphill battle and my son isn't making matter easier. But when he behave like this, I have to remind myself, this is why he is on a disability pension, this is why he needs to take Concerta & Risperdal and Luvox for anxiety.

aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh!!! Great idea for this winge thread, there is my two cents worth, all the way from Australia.

I will also complain about the weather, this morning it was 30 degrees and beautiful this afternoon it is about 19 degrees and I am wearing a sweater as it is cold outside, the weather cannot make its mind up LOL!!!

Its Sunday 6pm as I type this so there is a time difference.

To all of you above who have had a bad day >:D<<'> >:D<<'> , consider doing

this: I read in a Weight Watchers magzine if you are feeling the blues, go and hire a half dozen comedy films and watch them, that will lift your spirits, and take your mind of things, mind you, who has time to watch 6 movies at once LOL!! sounds good anyway

Have a great day :dance: choose to be happy even if it still sucks!!LOL

Forcing yourself to smile works, so keep doing it :lol::lol::lol:

Hi all,

Im back again for another moan :(

We were invited to my nephew's 21st b/day party on friday and all the kids were invited (my worst nightmare come true)

Liam (9 yr old with AS) was on a high for about 2 days previous and when we got there he was as high as a kite.

He was running around the place at 100mph jumping on ppl, running in and out the toilets, wanted to start on the buffet and this was only i the 1st half hr

He then was talking in his strange accents and acting really silly which was a bit embarassing as we hadn't saw some of the ppl there in a long time :wallbash: He started swinging on the chairs and couches then started running and doing (or trying to do) cartwheels.

Was told off countless times and had countless 10 mins time out but nothing worked :crying:

He then dissapeared and we found him in the toilets and he refused to come out again.

Afterwards we were eventually able to go to the buffet but all he had was crusty bread (after all that moaning)

We told him we were going home so he started running away from us and running into the mens loo's when i was trying to get him (i ended up running in after him and was confronted with a guy using the urinals which Liam found hillarious )

We usually spend xmas at home and if the rest of the family want to visit then thats fine but he's far to excited for us to go see others which i find upsetting as i have elderly grandparents who are housebound and would love to go see. :tearful:

Should we avoid taking him to parties or do we need to take him to socialise?

Thanx for my rant (again)

>:D<<'> >:D<<'> >:D<<'> HUGS TO EVERYONE WHO NEED THEM >:D<<'> >:D<<'> >:D<<'>

I really believe that the weather doesn't help our mood. Has anyone heard of S.A.D ?? I hate this damp cold BONE CHILLING weather, the last time i was properly warm was 2 nights ago sat in a boiling bath, watching the skin on my feet going red, and feeling so so hot. (sorry im freezing)

Well this morning, before we even had a chance to get out of bed, we had managed to upset kieran, and the long suffering hubby took a punch to the leg... The reason....... Kieran thought that steve was strangling me. He was actually giving my neck a rub, cos i had been laid all wrong and woke up with a creek in my neck. Kieran walked in and got the wrong end of the stick and was upset with steve. He hasnt been in a good mood since.

I can sort of understand why HE doesn't like to be touched, but he hates it if anyone touches me too,

Then i had an aurgument with eldest who is proving that the teenage hormones may have kicked in after all. He is just so immature and lazy, He is 13, and has to be reminded to wash and do his teeth, in fact i have to remind him to do everything. My brain is not big enough to think for everyone, and now i think im hearing voices, but i dont know if thats just the echo that they all leave behind once they have gone !!

:tearful:

Oh well, on the plus side at least its not snowing yet !!

Thanks for listening, you have saved my sanity once more.

Take care

Shaz
