  2. tylers mum thats exactly what i get its all my fault-i get this everyday over things ive not even been near glad someone else gets it too

  4. hi jenrose my son had ADOS too when he was younger and they told me some things he did were and some wasnt and that was also 30 mins test. at first i excepted this but now ive got bit wiser to all this im not backing down and i had to tell them i disagreed with there test results and keep pushing. i went back to my sons peadtriction and told him i was not happy and i wrote several letters and pages on info on what my son dose. i am now on waiting list for camhs and have seen some other people who now are not ruling it out-i have demanded a dx. its so frustrating when people dont listen-but you know yourself if things arent right so dont give up because i didnt and im not going to till im satisfied that they are taking notice. p.s this has been going on for 3 years at least up to now.
  5. im ok now didnt go hospital my sis says its not bad i cleaned it and banaged it up. it was the blood and the feeling of it made me go a bit wobbly-it didnt actually hurt when i did it but stinging now. so much for tidying up garden[i was thinking great ill do a bit-and was enjoying bit of fresh air as boys have me stuck in house most weekends]. nevermind
  6. i thought id tidy my front garden up a bit was doing really good,my son has been the usual distracting arguing self today i said in garden if you put your coat on we can nip the shop for a paper---he then began to rant at me i ranted back then cut through my little finger with pruners as i still hand my hand in the hedge great stuff blood everywhere now waiting for my sis to see if i need to go a and e for few stiches
  7. <'> hi rueby <'> totally can understand you,i sometimes feel like im going mad with all the shouting that goes on in my house, its got to the point where im shouting too. my son also refuses to do things that are asked of him like putting his coat on-such a simple task that turns into a full scale blowout. i am just trying to make myself except that this is my life now and i wont get back the old life i had before i had my sons-its hard and sometimes i cry about it all alot. im trying a visual board with my son at moment so when i tell him to put coat on he can see the picture before hand and then he can except it a bit more.[hes 4]. just dont feel alone in this cause your not honey <'> <'> <'>
  8. when i mention that my son has a social worker folk assume its because im a single mum with lots of probs ect....... they dont see that hes a social worker for disabled children people assume far to much
  9. my son will do this sometimes and things i find funny he cannot fathom it out, think it depends on how they see things,my son likes rough play too he gets in hysterics with it.
  10. i dont think ribenea has it in-aspartame that is only the normal one though not diet most diet drinks have it in im avoiding it too as it is strongly linked to causing cancer my dentist keeps saying oh no he needs diet stuff without the sugar, but id rather bad teeth also then cancer causing ingredients
  11. just had a look at mine from holland and barrett you need time released vits as these are the best ones the others just wash out of your system to quick-they may be bit dearer but benefits are much better i have busy b with c high strength,120 tablets helps cause it contains all the b complex vitamins plus vit c helps nervous system essential for energy. vitamin e 200 i.u-d-alpha form- powerfull antioxident plays a role in the maintenance of nervous system and healthy immune system high strength chelated zinc with 15 mg of copper- trace mineralthat plays role in over 300 enzymes in the body, neutralise harmfull cell damaging free radicals ect.... hope thats a bit of help.
  12. hi you could have any of the b vits as they good for energy and stress, also zinc is good,i take them and garlic and vit e for anti oxident am now on i q myself in capsules, ive tryed enchinea in past good to stop you getting colds ect,,, i also just started those danone drink things yoghurt type ones ,one a day orange flavour think its working, i eat lots of watercress and red peppers, spring onions and sunflower seeds which i really think is giving me energy at the mo. been eating dried fruit too and trying to have more fruit. plenty of vit c you need. holland and barret have good offers on alot and the staff are good telling u whats best to take ect....
  13. this is also problem i have but have just applied for friends for lesiure, which run activitys for disabled children or should i say help get them involved-not quite sure yet as not had appointment yet. i tryed sunday school he went once then hated it he will sit with me through church service but i cant see him going to try the sunday school again. its such a shame im sure they would like these things if they had the chance to be introduced to activitys really slowly but that never seems available to do. theres also disabled swimming at my leisure centre which is in evening which i may take him to and try-but once hes with strangers he kicks off, anyway im going try,see what happens. i tryed the cinema it lasted 10 mins into film and that was it had to go. but the trampolining sounds good-my son tryed this on a holiday last year-not sure if they have it where i live, and it always comes down to fact of dealing with strangers-i have to be with him most of time.
  14. i make my son cup of warm milk with a bit of coco powder in it and it really calms him down if hes upset,or in the evening before bed[have done this since baby] although have to add my dentist was most horrifed when i told him saying i hope he brushs teeth afterwards
  15. i think i may be waiting to see the sort of woman u saw im also waiting for camhs but told ive months and this is from last year social worker is getting me appointment with the type of woman you said, and i think when i see her she will do the same pass me on to someone else,i think its cause the disruptive behaviour and naughtyness is not just for the hell of it but theres a cause behind it ie,like as-cause they cant deal with situations-so this then ties there hands to do something.i get passed from pillar to post from the autistic folk saying there not sure then to the behaviouril folk saying well we cant deal with it if it comes under autistic spectrum,it all feels hopeless at times. as if no one actually will stick there neck out and help one way or the other all the advice i can give you is dont give up pushing, which is what i have learnt alot to do[i really dont care what they think of me now as long as i push enough to get the help for my son thats all that bothers me ] p.s have you got hospital consultant? you should ask him all these questions and he should refer you to the right people. its all a long process so dont worry your not on your own, my sons 4 and this has been going on since he was 1.
  16. yes my son if hes ill or stressed the weight drops off as quick as in a week, really notice it around his face or his little ribs. i think the i q fish oils help to fatten him up a bit or if hes off food i have a bottle of minedex for him which works quite well
  17. my son is very argumentative mostly over things he cant deal with very well,it always results with me explaining to him, but he will always have the last word on it[age 4]. it starts getting to me after a while,as i am the parent-but its as if hes having the last say on the subject[hope u know what i mean,ie,when my mum told me something id except it or argue maybe for a bit then except it ] but my son will not have this. i just wondered if this was common? its mostly over things which i put rules on and i am strict with him[but have to be or hed take full control ],like when youve said your piece and its final my son will try to drag it out with the last word on the matter, its as if he cant finish the sentance or conversation, its either that or the need for controlling me which i try my best to stop him doing.
  18. my son is the very same will this go agaisnt his dx of as do they have to have evidence of these meltdowns in the school setting? he is on action plus-but hes just not showing the emotional stress at school which he shows me as soon as he walks through the school doors
  19. klou that is the very same as my son i never get to hear a conversation or end one-all i get is the middle bit of a half of sentance i swear my son has sonic ears he can tell when im going make a phone call -then like a shot hes there at the door making all sorts up just so i cant hear or speak on the phone.
  20. am still waiting since last year- my gp and my sons social worker have tryed to speed it up but cant. although social worker has got hold of behaviouril lady from nhs who isnt anything to do with cdc,and shes going to come out to me,[i hope to god its not one of those crappy parenting issues thing -as ive done that befor-and it dont wash with a child who is doing things cause he cant help it -not because hes naughty] anyway im willing to see what she says,as i asked social worker if her report will also go towards his dx-said yes he also made me the visual cards i wanted for board-so at least getting somewhere-even though it feels at times im getting no where just thought id let u know
  21. just wondered if you had been to any good places that except/or can deal with the problems that you come up agaisnt with your children?
