  3. Dear all, I have not been online, for quite sometime now due to some pressures in my life. My account was not working for a while and everytime i clicked on forgotten password it kept refusing to accepting the code that you have to retype, at last i managed to get on. So its good to be back and hopefully catch up with you.
  4. Hi Prud, sorry to hear that about your wife and daughter, living with AS is a very difficult situation. Please dont say that you are a bad person because nobody ever is. I am sure you will be able to get in touch with other people who had diagnosis as adults, i have been touched by asd in that my son who is now 8 was diagonosed with As at the age of 5, he has since got another diagnosis of adhd, i am hoping he can have a normal life somehow, please read tony ATtwood's books about asperger's syndrome. kind regards mygifts
  5. Enjoy your times in Turkey smiley 1590, xxx <'>
  6. Thank you BD for your post, I realise that i am often too critical and analytical when it comes to my son, P4 had more challenges than other years, he has maintained his interest in reading and was speller of the month a few months ago. Lets make this thread mega positive, thanks <'> My little boy absolutely adores the Dirty Bertie books, he can read one in a few hours. x
  7. hi folks, i have something positive to speak about, my son who is 8 and has AS and ADHD was so well behaved today, i took him down to the local library to join the reading scheme called circus stars, he was patient and very calm, he was also going to be choosing a toy today as he has just finished p4 and had a good report,i wonder if he behaved so well because he was going to get a toy? even still he was unbelievable so well behaved, i then took him to pharmacy as i have a rash on my skin and had to wait for pharmacist, he sat there and read his dirty bertie book, normally its a constant, please sit down mummy will be done in a minute, please dont interrupt mummy is speaking, it was like he was a different person, he was so patient, he was not swinging on the doors or being peculiar, i then took him to the shop and he got aliens and Bey blade. I just thought i would share this positive thing that happened, long may it last as this is going to be a long summer 8 wks
  8. hi folks, i wondered what books have kept your mind off your troubles, i am terribly busy now that idont get a chance to read, any suggestions will be welcomed xx
  9. Sandra bullock stared in " all about steve", i felt it portrayed a lot of aspie mannerism, i also wached where the wild things are , the wee boy could be somewhat described as autistic xx
  10. Hello and welcome to the forum. you will find incredible support in this forum. Tell you DH not to blame himself, he is the first son and you had no one to compare him with, All will be well once he has diagnosis he can then have support. knowing the problem/ diagnosis can do different things to people, some people find relief, comfort, some people throw themselves at it and read as much as they can about it, you will find your path and your son is lucky to have such caring parents. best wishes mygifts1306 xxx
  11. Thank you buslizzie, think this will take quite a long time to get him really confident, so i shall keep this thread alive and let you folks know how we are getting on. thanks xx
