Bizarrely, I've scored 12 out of 12 in The Undateables's quiz, which apparently makes me a "Relationship Expert".

I was quite chuffed that I managed to do all my Christmas shopping without using Amazon or any chain stores. If anyone's interested, this is what I used (in addition to the National Railway Museum, already mentioned): Gift shop at the Wales Millennium Centre (dragon) Tusch und Egon (Cabin Porn and ear-rings) Decorum (cushion and candle) The Brokedown Palace (socks) The Sampler (sherry) Les Aldrich Music (diary) Hive via Joseph's Bookstore (This Little Puffin and Run the Jewels 2)

The latest issue of Escape (the on-train magazine of Great Western Railway) is running a competition to win a weekend break at Deerpark. Go to gwr.com/logcabinCornwall before 22 January 2016 and answer the question "In which year was the Forestry Commission formed?" (see here for the answer). Help with Eco wellbeing & Activity break

How do you define "eco-wellbeing"? Will you be seeking accreditation? -
I wonder how well-established Black Friday is even in the USA. I don't remember it being mentioned in any of Judy Blume's novels from the '70s, for instance.

Did anyone else here watch 'Back in Time for Dinner' over the summer? That made out the '90s to be a time of plenty (recession, Gulf War, Yugoslavian conflict and dotcom boom/bust notwithstanding). As I recall, the family seemed to enjoy the 70s most, and likewise with the more recent 'Back in Time for Christmas'. Check out some clips here.

For an antidote to the depressing mainstream news, try Positive News - does what it says on the tin. Only downside is that you may find yourself thinking (as I do) "why isn't there more of this kind of cool stuff happening where I live?". I'm also a subscriber to Grist for environmental news.

This sounds quite similar to the OP's business model. “With the proper support team taking care of day-to-day management and administrative duties – accounting, contracts and the like – they can focus on doing what they love and integrate both economically and socially.” Self-employment opens new worlds for autistic people
