Hi, sorry, please can anyone help me with some questions I've got? 1. Can a Consultant Psychiatrist (NHS) legally dismiss a Consultant Paediatricians (neurology specialist) report just because it is private, without carrying out any assessments himself yet. Both Drs are registered with the GMC at the same level and the private Dr is used and recognised by most insurance companies and also used by some NHS Trusts. Where do we stand? 2. When a meeting is arranged between a professional in Health and a childs school, should the parents have been invited? Should the school have taken any responsibility in informing the parents it was happening and the outcomes, if not invite them? I believe the SEN Code of practice states that parents should be treated as partners, although I have been informed by a "professional" that he understands how much "emotional input we put into our children", he seemed to be imlpying that they know best. Thank you

who has children with ASD and AS and ADHD as well?
marshmallow replied to JsMum's topic in General Discussion
DS's ADHD was picked up first, and ASD traits were spotted then, but the ASD side of him has become alot more noticeable now that the ADHD side to him is under control, if that makes sense? -
