Special_talent123 replied to AspieAlex's topic in Help and Advice
They need to know they are adding more anxiety when they are changing a lot of the time. They need to him plenty of warnings of the change to help him adapt springing on last minute won't help his anxiety -

MEMORY FOAM MATTRESS' topper for double bed
Special_talent123 replied to Aura Todd's topic in Off Topic
There so hard to get fitted sheets on top of mattress let alone the memory foam mattress too. U have to measure and then go to a store and ask for a fitted sheet that would fit the depth -

How to help my son to be organised at school?
Special_talent123 replied to windylou's topic in Education
I am suggesting the method that worked with me. Flash cards on a keyring attached to bang with picture and word saying what needs to go into the bag for when he looks and someone to prompting him at school to look at them before going home. -

This sounds similar to me but not the school way but the college way. His depression seem to be getting in the way of his attendance. This is the area I was having. I was on mainstream course trying to get my English and maths up to qualification levels but my mental health was bad and I ended up going 2 weekly until nothing. Does he have a college counsellor or a mental health facilitator to keep an eye on him and help him continue his studies with mental health. Mine stopped as soon as I stopped going every week

It sounds as though your child is a kinaesthetic learner (hands on, practical ) learner. I am both visual and kinaesthetic so i would find the paperwork of writing difficult because i work best at visual thinking as well as hands on methods. . I think if the IPAD is used in a positive way - Learning then it should be considered as long as they are not using it to play games that are no educational whilst at school.

I would just encourage him, but give him the option of what he wants to do. If he doesnt want to do anything not to force him, but if he wants to do then theres no pressure?
