    Hi Nicky welcome.xx
  5. Hi Suze,Damien had his first day back at nursery today, and the break must have done him good as he walked to school ( with reins) and didn't sit or lie down once, and walked back perfectly to,lovely madeit home in 15 mins, usual took half an hour to 45 mins,as he likes to touch every front door on the way home and say ding dong,so hopefully that's gone now,I hope.also got long awaited letter saying that he's been referred to educational psychologists,so that's good to.xx <'>

  8. Hi Mandy,I'm Emma I have a 14 year old going through diagnosis and an almost four year old to be diagnosed as well,I've got a twelve going on 18 year old daughter,a 17 year old son who has psychosis and a 20 year old who's got something but won't get any help, with my bloke almost 8 years and have a large variety of pets, welcome.xx
  9. Loving it,very creative,a ray of sunshine.welcome.x
  10. Oops, don't know what happened there! It's annoying that the teachers don't get to see what we see isn't it? The communication clinic is now waiting for something from the school called a teachers checklist before they'll diagnose my four year old,and because he's good at nursery I'm actually worried that they'll say there's no problem, except one thing that doesn't change is his speech, whether at home or school.he has echolia and refers to himself by name etc so at least they can see that.xx
  11. Good honey no use wasting energy or mind space on someone who's a waste of time and is no help and brings no positivity to your life at all.xx
  12. Ha ha ha oops sorry,ur dog sounds adorable but seriously hard work! It's a hard one isn't it? are you on any meds for paranoia? My sons psychotic and very paranoid,he thought people in cars were watching him or would want to hurt him,he's on risperadone now,and so much better.xx
  13. Hi everyone,my 14 year old had his 1st appt at the community pediatricians today,to bring you up to speed his school had rang me and said he has a lot of trouble in exams, finishes early then stretches yawns and makes noises etc,I told them that he has a lot of symptoms of aspergers( from what I'd read in books while reading about autism, because of my youngest) the teacher on the phone said that could explain a lot and referred him to the schools senco.who put him into touch with the schools salt therapist who then spoke to me and referred him to paeds.well nice lady, spoke to us for two and half hours, and said that it wouldn't be aspergers as with aspergers there's no speech delay, rio had a very pronounced stammer he'd repeat the first word ofva sentence over and over,it'd take him ages to get anything out.so it's probably high functioning autism, which although I'm already going through getting my youngest diagnosed, this has still left me winded, that's the only way to describe it.I thought he was just quirky!xx

Just a couple of suggestions,hope their helpful.xxxxx

  19. Ok so an update,Dads in heaven is very sweet,it's about a man who has autism and is an amazing artist, and through the eyes of autism is 13 minutes long, and Damien was entranced and didn't move ( that's unheard of) for the whole of it,it's music, images and video clips supposedly through the eyes of autism.I can't vouch for that but my lil lad sat there rocking and smiling through it so it was worth the money just for that.xx

    autismshow

I was there and I went to the sensory direct stall and had a right touch,I got Damien a weighted blanket and a weighted body warmer, both for ninety pound! cos they'd been on display so that night Damien slept under the blanket and slept through the night for the FIRST time in 3 and a half years! Sweet Jesus I was happy angels sang once more.xx
