  1. Like the police, maybe there are certain phrases teachers etc. have to be word perfect in to graduate: "S/he doesn't do that at school" "We never see that here" "Although we value your input.........." (we know your child better than you because you're only a parent) "Can I have aquick word Mr/s........."

  3. <'> <'> <'> for you, don't beat yourself up, I think most of us 'lose it' at times and you have had it very tough recently. Again I'm sorry because I don't have any real advice, except try to get you some you time and grab every offer of support and help you get. I wish I could do more. <'> <'> <'>
  4. I'm really glad that J seems to be doing well in his school! You must be really proud!
  5. I don't really know, other than make notes of things what you want to discuss, developmental and behaviour wise. Sorry I can't give any more help, hopefully someone else will be of more assistance <'>
  6. <'> <'> Sorry, no advice, bt plenty of <'> <'>
  7. I struggle with this one too, alot of the time I don't even want to the school run because I find the social gossipy wait at the gate hard! Sometimes I go through periods where I find it difficult to post on here because finding the words difficult. Like clare, I will often ignore the phone and keep the curtains shut! Socialable human aren't I. Sending you loads of <'> <'> <'> .
  8. <'> <'> <'> I hope you manage to get the support /placement Bill needs soon, it does sound as if the school he has been attending isn't the right place for him. I hope he feels less stressed soon <'> . As I think I've said before I think it is awful that a system is in place that allows children to fail before putting in the right support. Hope you're ok. Take care.
  9. <'> Sorry you had such a bad time of it, hopefully T's paediatrician will be able to pull some strings and get a support package in place for you asap. I hope the risperidone helps. How are you today? I think it is awful that, imo, so many families and children seem to need to reach breaking point before help is given. Take care.
  10. Just out of interest, what diagnostic criteria did they use to diagnose being "clinically well-dressed" Thou shalt NEVER look at someone else in the eye.
  11. chocolate............thats the excuse I use for eating it anyway, whether it does keep me sane or not is an entirely different matter
  12. <'> Hope you're both feeling better soon, take care <'> .
  13. <'> Hope it goes well tomorrow, and you both get the help you need. Take Care <'> .
  14. Sorry you're not well, maybe you should phone NHS Direct? Sorry I can't give you any more help, hope you're ok. <'>
  15. <'> That's lovely, I'm not surprised you're proud!
  16. Housework? I think its on my to do list.
  17. <'> <'> <'> You have not failed, you have fought for along time to get T's needs recognised, and hopefully now met. If you were failing as a mum you wouldn't have cared. Listen to the T's Paed and decide what you want to do, you want the best for T,you know him best, but you need to look after yourself too....if that makes any sense! Take care. <'>
