Bid, i hope you get a chance to rest soon, they would not have wanted to listen to 2 years worth of detail anyway so dont beat yourself up. Considering your daughters allergies you are doing a wonderful job with that alone never mind any other issues you have to deal with. Raising a child is hard work, times that by three ,then multiply again for managing in these circumstances. I take my hat off to you, well done. nic

Hi Mother in need I dont know if i have missed it in the thread, is a placement sorted out? If not why not suggest to the school that he uses the the time with his TA in school to research the kind of job he would like or see if his interests match up to any job. Also, who is responsible for your son during this time? If it is still the school then surely they should still be providing the support still. What will the TA be doing during this time? I have been trying really hard to cut down on chocolate but my friends have all been bringing it into the shop when they come in for a chat! I end up not being able to resist The good news is though i have managed to wear a pair of trousers today that did not look good at christmas time so i must be doing something right. I have managed to get a walk in most days, and i am drinking quite a bit of water, so tomorrow the aim is some sit ups (have not managed any yet). The incentive i needed has been presenting itself everyday since new year, i have had to look at lots of pregnant women who all seem to be in better shape than me. How is it possible to be a size 8 and 7 months pregnant! I was the size of a house. I cant bear the thought of not being comfortable come summertime, so i am quite determined now. nic

No they havn't kathryn my lovely girl has those and the puppies and the lttlest pet shop and the polly pocket she is now going to give up her bratz dolls (thankfully 4 small suitcases of them all with spare clothes) but only because she wants a real baby doll and i am now doing a one in one out thing as her room is burting at the seams. nic

I am told quite often that i look like helen baxendale (except i have blue eyes) this has kept up for over 10 years so i guess there must be a likeness. A few years ago on holiday a women nicknamed me and my sister the 'two helens 'as we are so alike. Would not mind looking like Helena Christenson i think i could cope with that(was told i looked like her years ago and have always loved that one).Also been told Sharleen Spiteri from texas (my oldest sis looks quite like her) Personality wise i think i have multiple soap personalities. A bit of Rachel/ Monica /Phoebe and a bit of Hyacinth Bucket My oldest sister says i can be a bit miss jean brodie at times my brother has called me pauline fowler!(Cos i love my cardies, honest) My on/off boyfriend has said i remind him of an old lady with my love of afternoon tea, walks in the park, and the ability to prattle on about nothing in particular. On holiday in Turkey years ago ( i was about 20) i kept being stared at and it was starting to worry me, at first i thought it was because i was very pale, and then i just got a bit spooked by it, so my boyfriend asked the barman in the pub one night why everyone was staring at me ( a whole crowd of turkish men kept looking over. Well we never expected the response - i apparently looked like an 'adult' movie star, so for the rest of the holiday my boyfriend strutted and occassionally gave a knowing wink whenever he saw someone staring! I think i would rather be pauline. nic

Mumble, i am going to make a confession here, if i can get rid of things without my daughter knowing, i do.Other than that we have a clear out about twice a year to get rid of things she does not use, that is quite stressful getting her to build up to it. She is very good about it though, and knows it goes to friends or a charity shop. Now though she is starting to get the concept of money and would like to try selling her things! Nic

Good Luck tomorrow Kathryn, the only thing i can think to add is to ask the workers to clarify their roles, in order to pinpoint who should know what the progression for your daughter could be within the college. nic
