  2. I'm with you on this Tez Unless you get everything in writing, it very rarely happens . They don't like the fact that you are very efficient keeping records of meetings etc, stick with it Tez and dont let them get you down you've come this far and there is no turning back.....(they are trying to rile you and dont let them)!!!
  3. I think i will give it to him tonight at about 6ish and see we do have an app this week with the GP and next week with the Paed so i will ask them for advice just incase he needs a diff dose.
  4. Glad it went well for you Trance and someone was listening to you....

  10. Hi all, I was wondering, i know that alot of your children are taking medication for sleep difficulties but what time do you give them the medicine... Keegan has been taking them for 1 week now, he has to take 2 tabs to help with sleep. Monday night I gave him the tablet at 8.30 and by 10 he was sparko. But the rest of the week i have been given it to him earlier because on tuesday night gave him the tablets at 8.30 he did not sleep until 11.30, Wed night i gave it to him at 8.00 and he did not sleep until 1.30 I have now been giving him the tablets earlier and earlier and tonight he went swimming all afternoon and gave him the tablet at 7.00 he is still stimming upstairs, i thought with all the swimming it would make him tired but not him he is still on the go and this is what i was saying to the dr it takes him so long to wind down, he just cant switch off. Have any of you found the same happens??? He usually reacts to medicines so i was very wary of giving him these... My father has been prescribed the same tablets and he is a big man (about 18 stone) and the tablets knocked him out until 1 o clock the next day....
  11. Same here they just would not be able to cope and my friends have never really offered!!!! to difficult i guess
  12. The epsom salts usually dissolve in the water just swish it around and there is no need to rub it into skin it will soak thru whilst in the bath.....
  13. Everything crossed here too, i might have to be going thru the same next year (Sept) for my son.... Best of luck
  14. My dd also kinda takes a back seat alot with regards to my son, i do send alot of my time dealing with him but yet he warrants the attention IUKWIM, i cant really leave him without him wanting me to help out with something or do this or that. She on the other hand is very independent and gets left out alot and i do wish i could make more time for her, it breaks my heart. My hubby is away at the moment and i said last night that she can sleep with me in my bed and her face beamed and that was our little special time together without her brother interrupting things.... I must say that what your dd said tonight must have shocked you but in her defense maybe she was just saying those things infront of her friend (that got a punch)to save face???
  15. Was stuck in traffic tonight and read a car bumper sticker and thought i had to share it with you:- They say you get better with age Guess I must be heading for magnificant Thought that was classic!!!!
  16. I have now done the same, smile sweetly and say "no not today" and like you say if they are concerned i might give a reason!!!

I agree with what everyone has said but it might also help to find the trigger to the meltdowns, easier said than done i know but thats the advice i was given when keegan had a mega meltdown last thursday!!! Could not find the trigger and let the meltdown run its course......

    School phobia

Hang in there curra, and try and see either the GP or the Paed because like my son he needs to be signed off... I also get nervous so try and rehearse what you want to say to the gp before hand, write it down and maybe take some info on ASD for the gp to look and it also shows that you know what you are talking about... My heart goes out to you and your lad all the best <'>
