  1. Glad it went well for Steve, my lad always tells me he prefers the ex to me funny how he changes his mind when he wants something tho!! <'>
  2. Hi Julieann thanks for the lovely reply!! he is adorable but i would say that because im his mummy I keep telling people about it but nobody really gets it! He loves sonic at the moment and loves to play the sonic game but he spends more time drawing his picture (he is a really good artist) Maybe we could let them have a chat on here about sonic? It does drive me mad sometimes listening the constant sonic talk and trying to converse back with him about it. THe thing with Ryan is his obsessions only last a few weeks then change costs me a flippin fortune! How old is your son?
  3. Yeehhhhh Just having a read on posts and got a call to say that the panel have agreed my son needs to get out of mainstream im over the moon and now hope that the school I want accepts him...........hurdle one over at least!!
  4. i have this problem to with my son, I do take him to get measured every few months but as he is a 6/7 with wide feet it can be hard to get comfy shoes for him. The other month after a very unsuccessful shopping trip for new school shoes (he hates to try them on) I brought some insoles measured them against his feet and cut accordingly,I then went out shopping without my man but instead a copy of his left and right foot! I managed to get him shoes and trainers armed with my insole! Hope this helps? x
  5. My sons new obsession at the moment is Sonic The Hedgehog the Ozone layer and Aliens. He has spent all weekend making a sonic the hedgehog scrap book and it has not left his side. This morning he could not find it when he got up and was adament that he had left it on his chair in his bedroom. We were looking for it as he started to get more and more distressed that it had gone missing I kept reasurring him that it couldnt have gone far and that we would find it. He then asked me if I thought "an Autistic alien who has a sonic the hedghog obsession could have come through the hole in the ozone layer and stolen it" the things they say eh! luckly the book was found under his bed and not on the chair "where he left it!"
  6. AGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH I was meant to have been given the decision by the end of the day cant get through to anyone and nobody has called me back or replyed to my emails. My head is pounding and I have had no sleep last night. Surely it doesnt take 2 min to pick up the phone and say yes or no???? I have done zilch work today and now im going home for a vodka and coke
  7. Ryan gets it really bad only in his eyes though to the point of having gunk coming out all day long. He uses drops and pirtiton although I have to get him to the doctors as it is doing no good for him this year.
  8. Oh thanks Hev! how are you and your Steve? x
  9. Hi all I have not posted in a long time as have been having alot of problems with my son and I have also been unwell and in hospital for the past 3 weeks so I apologise if it seems I have come back not said hello and jumped straight in with a post. I am really in need of a bit of advice, my boy is currently in mainstream school and they have now said the are unable to manage him I have found a school that would be fantastic for him his consultant also agrees that this would be a good place for him. He is going to panel tommorrow to see if he gets a place im very nervous about this and unsure what the likely hood of him being given it would be. Does anyone have any experience of this? If so how easy is it? He has a large statement 25hrs per week if that helps? Thanks sooooo mucho!! Lyn x

  15. bit of a sucker for the romantic books and anything written by Marion Keys and Mike Gayle. Cant think of the name of the book but its about a man who has an accident and goes into a coma it then comes out that he has not one but 2 wifes and has been leading a double life for 5 years with neither wife aware of the other until now very girly and would def make a good chick flick although they are never as good as the book PS I love you the Devil wears Prada and Bridget Jones I have found to be like this.
  16. ohh im so glad im not the only one!!
  17. I have replyed maybe took it a bit to far......
  18. Haven't had the change to chat to you alot but can see that you are always there with some helpful advice or a hug, you will be missed x x
  19. Be a real cheapskate and ring your freinds on their mobile phones so they see your number, hang up just before or as they answer. You will find they will call you back. Use the excuse that "you got cut off" very cunning and also saving you money (i dont think it is advisable to use this all the time as you may end up with no freinds to ring)
  20. As with claire I have also followed ur progress what a big change from the summer when you were doing the poping to the shops training! Well done to both of you! <'>
  21. My lad has developed a new tick (part of his torrettes) he constantly sniffs really loudly. I feel really bad as yesterday we all sat down to watch the film Bridge to Terabithia (this was due to me thinking it may teach my brood that you dont always have to spend money to have fun!) and as well as his constant rambling throughout it such as "whats happening mum" "why has he got blue jeans on not black" "I know what is going to happen" and other comments that I give him a very quick answer to so it does not spoil the film for his sister he was CONSTANTLY sniffing. Now I know its not his fault and usually with his vocal ticks I can block them out but i hate the sound of sniffing and REALLY wanted to tell him to stop i was getting so wound up with the noise I had to leave the room and leave them to watch the film on there own I felt so bad but i couldnt help it. I was just wondering if anyone elses child had the same sort of thing and if they ever found any of these noises etc annoying?
