  1. well me and hubby are sitting over our breakfast discussing you mumble dear.and im inclined to think that the uni people may close ranks if you take this info to them.why not ask for help at the citizens advice bureau?maybe they can point you in the right direction..or possibley the students union?erm im giving you suggestions.if you go to the police they will probably tell you to get legal advice.you do need to get someone to log your complaint.good luck dear...love noogsyxxxxx

  3. hi sweetie im inclined to say that this needs direct action. you need to print out your email hopefully you still have it. print out the post on the forum. keep a copy for your self . then grab the guilty person warmly by the lapels, make sure they know you are going to take it further. or you can go above the guilty person..... im appalled ...im sure this persons boss will be to...love noogsy

  5. hi pingu my hubby a 46 year old man works at sea and they are not allowed stanley knives on the boat because of health a safety rules. why on earth are stanleys allowed in schools.its the fact they have them at all that is terrifying. find out if it is legal for them to be in school classrooms i think you will find it is not. im horrified by the whole debacle.....it would have been easier chucking the thing in the bin. you tried to do the right thing and you got no thanks....this whole thing has annoyed me to.... love noogsy
  6. my little boy has had a visual time table since primary 4 he is in primary 6 now. his is sellotape to his desk in front of him so he can refer to it day to day. louis needs his so he know what is happening in the class day to day. so he knows when he has art,pe,music, maths, creative writting. it is called a visual time table but doesn't have pictures. there have been various types of time table used for Louis. we found the simplest was the easiest for Louis to understand. one used to have times on it,but this resulted in the clock having to be taken down and Louis was not to wear his watch. the kids in class were also asked not to wear watches...because if the time table said maths at 10 o clock and Louis worked out the time. he started demanding that maths started NOW....lol which worked out quite wearing for the teacher...lol also he felt babyish with the picture one he had as he felt it was beneath him...lol he kept ripping it of the desk. so we have reached a compromise of a time table that Louis helped to make and he knows where he is day to day.it was trial and errors.. and patience from his very good primary teacher. we have a good school that has learned very quickly about asperger's and the teachers have even done courses. Louis's class stayed with the same teacher this year in the same class and Louis was in the same seat with the same kids sitting beside him.. :notworthy:i think we have actaully managed to get through to them. ....love noogsy
  7. why not visit the school pet.and think about the local high school....we moved because our last house was on a busy main road in the centre of a very busy village.and we had a canal at the bottom of our garden.my babe loved the canal. andi t had become impossible to keep him in our garden he could climb the walls and fences.it was hopeless and we were forced to move to a quieter area.but he stayed in the same school.louis has stayed mainstream at his primary but i have no idea how he will cope at high school.as it is a huge leap for him...it is a huge leap for all our kids.love noogsyxxx
  8. we moved from a very busy area to a house in the middle of a nature reserve. it is a housing development that was built here as part of the nature reserve. and im trying to think if of the negatives. my little didn't leave the house for weeks as he kind of went a bit wonky after the move but on the whole it has been a good move. we watch rabbits and the fox from our kitchen window we have kestrels and hawks above our home so we can sit out and watch them swooping down trying to catch mice. Louis has a bow and arrow and he is taken with the idea but erm he is no hunter......lol i walk out my back gate on to the reserve every morning and evening with the dog. my house has fields behind it it is ridiculously quiet. we do have to drive everywhere for my baby boy moving to a place with(HOW CAN I SAY THIS WITHOUT SOUNDING SNOOTY)nicer children has been a good thing we have nicer neighbours and they all know Louis is asperger's. i tell people so they will make allowances. anyone who isn't suppose to be in our street stands out like a sore thumb. we love it here is is so quiet and no one heckles Louis any more. hope i have helped..love noogsy
  9. hi cariad,we go next wednesday with my wee lad.and i hope we all enjoy things ,i hadnt even thought about the food but hey ho, louis will be fine as long as he can get chips.louis is 10 i think we will head straight to the buzz light year ride.did you bother going to the town hall to get the fast card?glad things went well pet love noogsy
  10. hi hun take all the help you can get and enjoy a bit of time with your hubby...... it is so important,. im with bagpuss i want to be adopted.....lol love noogsy
  11. hi what i did i have two kids diagnosed with asd adhd and ocd one is a child diagnosed at 6years old he is now 10.the other is 24 years old just diagnosed.the intresting thing is my 24 year old was repetedly seen my EP and he was frankly a very bad Ep he didnt get diagnosed all the way through school and it was a nightmare for him as he is adhd, asd and ocd.he was kept back a year twice.repedetly chucked out of school.we are now taking everything into court for him.to fight for some kind of justce.hopefully his life can be sorted a bit... now my littly son in contrast ..his head teacher asked me to come and see her.then she told me she thought somthing was wrong with my child?...she asked me to have him refered to our gp?the teacher didnt say what she thought it was...but months later she said she though he might be aspergers.the lady was a very experienced retiral age special needs teacher......so he was seen by our gp who said he also thought louis had somthing wrong..he refered my child to a pediatritin then a very good phychiatrist and is now looked after by camhs.the diffrence was night and day. i think you should maybe have a rummage around and try to work out who and where in your area have good services for kids. i think at the end of the day it all comes down to cash. finance dictates what kind of services are available to kids. i think because we have done both routes we know how tricky things can be. i think the school didnt want to fund my grown childs education..its as simple as that. they knew he had issues but didnt care. they care now we are taking them into court...lol.. love noogsy
  12. hi i think the important thing is making sure your child sees the right person from the word go. you have been told a teacher suspects that your child is on the spectrum. now this is totally my own opinion but i don't rate educational psychologists. remember psychologists are not medical doctors. a psychologist is in no shape or form a psychiatrist. so i think you should take your child to your gp and ask for a proper assessment from someone...i think services for children to say the least are sketchy countrywide...so its really important to get your child looked at by someone who knows what they are doing.so things can be ruled out....love noogsy
  13. hi this is so hard for mums and dads.my little boy who is ten years old is the same but he does settle eventually...every time he has a break from school even a long weekend it takes hi three weeks to settle back at school it torture for him...sending you a hug pet....love noogsy

    Chat Room

hi i havent voted yet cos im thinking about it but i am on msn quite a lot. and we have had problems on another site with chating... does everyone realise that when you get a group of people who have behavioural problems and aspergers that erm the have barneys fall out and squable... .i mean really...really argue... as someone who has watched others not everyone is polite.and erm the virtual world isnt real life. but for some they dont understand and it can cause real misunderstandings... for example..bleather blether blether....can we meet up?...no !why not?because i dont know you?but we have been talking for weeks?still erm no because i dont know you?but we do know each other ?no we dont..... i have seen others meet up hate each other and continue it on the forum? then what happens? well the admin team have to chuck them both out cos they both become nutters? i suppose its worth a trial. but things will be tricky for the admin team and i have to say it is a huge amount of work.... just like having a kids or teenagers board again a huge undertaking and lots of responibilities for the admin team who work very hard as it is.i think everything has to be moderated when it is live as people can get very hurt.by small things.sorry for going on a bit. love noogsy i think maybe a for and against list with the reasons and it might become clearer.
  15. my little boy is 10 years old and doesnt dress himself.he also is happy to run around naked.i dress louis in the morning just so i can get him and me organised.if i leave him to sort him self he just gets in a state...the thing is i suspect he can do it...i think when he is ready he will surprise me with his clothes...love noogsy

"hubby grrrrrrrrrr. .....lol.........so hopefully you will be in a place where people realize you qualities...just stay calm....love noogsy and cam...xxxx

  23. hi i watched jackie and her amazing family the first time round and she is gobsmackingly strong woman.just the fact she had all these babies crikey what can you say.i had three boys and im shot to pieces.she has all her degrees and looks after four boys with huge difficulties...i to want to know what her secret is.she looks great,is cheerfull and funny, and her house was clean and tidy, and she is single.how on earth does she cope????if we are all a bit honest here most of us mums and dads are hanging in bits.between sleep depravation and trying to sort out teachers and schools.dont feel bad about yourself sweetie im with you.i feel a bit put out to.i suppose it would have helped had i had some daughters first...love noogsy
  24. hi the neil....its the old frying pan into the fire synario....i suppose you wont know if you dont try to go for another job.hmmmmmm.yup i think you should keep all your options open.and make it clear to anyone who asks that you are intrested in changing jobs...know your worth and wait for the right money....i hate changing jobs and i have to say i know within days if i have made a mistake..... groan.....but once you have moved, it should not be so hard the next time <'> ....stay possitive, at the end of the day what are they going to do to you???? ....just dont get in a panic.....love noogsy
  25. hi i'm not sure how you find out what areas are good...we are in central Scotland and my little boy has been well looked after. i spose this is a highly populated area and therefore has a load of funding. maybe being looked after is pot luck....i can say that we are in bonny bridge and we are well looked after my little boy is 9 years old and will be going to mainstream high school but it has a special needs unit called north field. which is a quite area withing the school where kids can go at playtime and lunchtime and it has computers and a pool table and juice machines and whatnot. but it is for special needs kids only. where during the day if kids are stressed out they can go there and do homework. it has a learning support teacher there all the time to look after the stray kids.....the wanderers who are not settling....i suppose it is forward thinking.it helps that our kids are looked after in the nhs by the manor(camhs) in brown street which has a young forward thinking team who are trying to make changes for kids and there parents in our area is ladeside primary which one the Oscars for schools a couple of years ago...it is a mainstream primary school which has a autistic unit to. i think what you need to try to do is build up apicture of where the asd kids are best being looked after.maybe a map with flags on it.....try to work ou where the schools are and the best funding... love noogsy
