In South Africa where I come from the kids only start school at 7. But i agree with Carole most parents would not agree with this!!!

Keegan is black at the moment he likes to dress in all black and be called a M.I.B (Men in Black) latest dvd he has been watching

Because Keegan had not been in school for the last 3weeks they decided to do a home visit and it all went very well. They were here for 2.5hrs and they did a sensory profile and its decided that Keegan has sensory intergration dysfuction, which was not news to us but they confirmed it for us. They are going to try and help with regards more support at school and they have said that Keegan definitely needs to use a laptop which i did tell the school about and there response was that it was not necessary at the moment. OT said she is the one qualified to make that judgement not the SENCO. They are coming back in 3weeks to watch Keegan eating a meal and they are going to try and get him to wear weighted wrist bands during meals to help with muscle control??? Anyone heard of these before or got anymore info on them it would be greatly appreciated..... All in all a good day but i have been feeling a little "heartsore" (South African term) knowing all these difficulties that he has just highlights what a struggle he has everyday with sensory stimuli.

My Gp refered us and it did not take too long about 2mnths but i know that you want an app like now!!!!

Totally agree our Pediatrician gave us a prescription last night for 5mg (is that alot) for Keegan and he was asleep by 11.00 which was wonderful for us...

I bet it was a very difficult thing to do, enjoy your break and try not to feel guilty!!!!

I use the pampers bed mats they are wonderful my son is 12 and still wets!!!

The 3yr olds mom needs shooting!!!! I feel for you with all the kids in the neighbourhood i'm the same i have just made 8 glasses of juice for the monsters they ask me coz they know i am soft. I dont mind drinks so much coz its hot out but i am sick of feeding everyone elses kids coz like in your neighbourhood their moms have popped out to the shops and they leave the kids to fend for themselves. I have been caught out too many times!!

Keegan does the same we ask him to pour us a glass of juice he comes back with the milk. Zemanski is right one clear instruction at a time helps alot!

Its his age Hev my 12 yr old also speaks to me like i am something off his shoe!!!!

Totally with you on this one Viper, you'r not over reacting at all.... My kids wanted to do the same and i said no way we have a water shortage and its just not righ my neighourbours allowed it to happen and i called my kids in (what a meanie). I have lived in a drought (in South Africa) and let me tell you it was not fun..... Water is precious but kids dont really understand the importance of it but atleast you are doing your bit to help out!!!

Enjoy your free time Brook and recharge your batteries, do the things that you cant normally do or just chill.... Its strange i know because i so want a break from the kids but when the house is quiet and i have control of the telly remote i want them all back!!! Enjoy!!!!

My son does the same, never puts things in the bin his room is a tip and luckily we dont have a rat infestation up there because of the bits of food he leaves under the bed or in the drawers but never in the bin.... By the way i watched your slid show, gosh you have loads of cats!!!! How many in total???
