  1. Mine went back today too. I don't know what to do with myself now. Hope all's going well with the new teacher, new class etc.

    Motherhood

    Sheer class.
  3. She sounds worth her weight in gold, your sister. Hope you have a fantastic night out.
  4. Yay! That's excellent news, well done.
  5. My Mum gave me this book and it's one of my favourites.

    Why?

I hope your arm feels better soon Mumble. I'm sorry this has happened to you. People can be such idiots.
  8. Every option except 'no' applies to me.
  9. I think my J's most classic one was when we were on the bus heading to my Mum's. It was absolutely packed but he was managing very well, and to distract him I asked him what he could see in the park we were passing. "I can see trees. And leaves. And grass. And sky. And clouds. And flowers. And dog muck. And...." The people sitting next to us had tears rolling down their faces.
  10. I do that. I can't bear the covers on them.

Yay Mumble! I'm really pleased for you.
  12. I've actually never seen such a one-sided report before! We must have been quite lucky so far. I'm very surprised at the kind of language they've used, no wonder you're upset. <'>
  13. I've long since been convinced that social services work with no logic whatsoever. My heart goes out to the poor woman and her family.
  14. I've just read that - poor C. I really hope he's feeling better today.

  16. We've just come home from the playpark. There was a group of boys about 10 years old who J decided to speak to. He was his usual loud and innocent self, and told them his age and that he liked diggers or something like that, and so they called him a (insert charming swearword) eejit. He told them that was a bad word and that made them laugh harder. They then started calling him Harry Hoofter. He had no idea what it meant. Even when we were leaving they were still yelling 'Bye Harry!' and he waved back at them all smiles. He turned back to me with this great big grin on his face and said 'I love my new friends Mum, they're nice aren't they? They like me, they're saying goodbye.' I could weep for him. No harm done I suppose, seeing as he's clueless, but I'm dreading the day he starts to understand. I'm also mildly sickened that something homophobic is their top insult. Just wanted to tell someone, I guess.
